Life Story:Falling forward
There are a lot of things that shape me.
1. My sisters - there are three of them, are my closest friends and confidants. I love them a lot and were there when times at home seemed very hard and didn't make sense.
2. My faith. I'm a Christian - not the type that bangs you over the head with the bible and says youíre going to burn in hell. Those are the crazy ones. I'm the type that takes from the bible and applies it to myself and not to other people. I think that if I can be a better person and love people like Jesus that it's only way I can impact. The only way I can touch a heart or soul that's hurting. The pain of hunger, abuse, war, loneliness, death, can only be conquered by a kind heart not a condemning one. That is my faith.
3. My nationality - Filipino/White. I love the culture of being both. Even though I'm half of each it makes me more open to other cultures. I always want to study other cultures and religions. Being mixed makes me understand that every nationality and ethnicity has something great to offer.
4. My quick growing up - I was homeschooled and graduated at 16. I went right into the workforce in a white collar environment forcing me to mature quickly. I'm now work in a technology firm and wake up at 2am to get to work at 3am and then go to college right after. My best writing is done at 4am in the morning.
That's all for now.
Why I Write:
Everything seems less weird when it's on paper. Subprime loans, Sarah Palin as a choice for a running mate, your will, and even my thoughts.
Things have always touched me in a different way. I've always tried to make something up in my mind and I wanted them to come to life.
That's why I found early on that I not good at things. I'm not good at drawing. I'm not good at crafts.
Poetry was a way for me to make all these weird ideas make sense. Stanzas align my thoughts that are jumbled in my head. I like seeing it lined up with rhythm, sound, and emotion. Writing makes me happy and it makes me understand myself better.
My hobbies consist of writing, reading, programming, computers, helping people, community work, video games, Telvision etc.
General Personality/What makes you unique?:
I start out pretty quiet but I get very talkative when I think a topic is funny or passionate about the topic. When Iím with a group of people I tend to just listen and add sarcastic comments here and there. I tend to take the background and enjoy people who are funny and charismatic. I think Iím pretty intelligent and I like to talk about computers and books. I'm not too fond of politics and I don't like spreading around my opinions because I don't think I should be forcing down peopleís throats. I'm very slow to anger and am very giving person. I tend to be a pushover but assert myself after a few jabs, if you let me simmer a bit. I love people and think there is good in even the toughest personalities.
Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3 It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
