Quick Bio : [ JanePlane ]
Life Story:of course
I wish I could be cool and interesting and hot and say I was an anorexic heroin addicted supermodel, but the truth is that isn't who I am. I'm a teacher/writer/artist. I have kids and I teach kids and I love kids. I also hate kids sometimes and just want to be by myself. I'm someone who lives 5 minutes from the beach in a 500,000 dollar home but who can still sometimes feel sorry for myself. Don't think I'm rich. I'm just lucky and have good friends/connections/parents etc. I'm also rarely not in love/ and or in hate with someone.
Also I ramble--ADHD--YAY! Anyway, all my friends think I'm hilarious--even when I feel like running my car off a bridge or I'm talking a million miles a minute so I figure I should probably be doing stand up or at least being a comedy writer, but instead I write children's stories, sad poetry and science fiction/fantasy/"sexually provocative" short stories (they start off as novels sometimes but they never make it that far. . . . Did I mention I tend to ramble?
Why I Write:
I like to participate in what my best friend refers to as "emotional masturbation". If only I could climax!!!!:( Yep, just waiting for that one great moment-- the epiphany that reveals all of the world's madness as making perfect sense type of thing. Also, it helps me avoid my real life problems. Is that the definition of irony? Anyway, lately I've been getting into writing satire. Maybe I'm easing my way toward the whole stand up thing.
Sites I frequent:
http://www.eliteskills.com/ : My favorite! I also enjoy poetry sites that feature famous poets and give their bios etc. like http://www.poets.org/, I like fine arts sites, photography sites like http://www.flickr.com/, cooking and baking slites like http://allrecipes.com and http://www.epicurious.com/. Then there are the times when I become fixated on a topic (dyslexia, the conflict in Lebanon, mythological creatures, ancient gods and goddesses, bands or musical artists, childhood poverty, traveling, the worlds most unique places to live, the history of the royal families of the 15th and 16th century . . . whatever) and I'll just obsessively research it for days or even weeks—so then I’m all over the net.
Writing, painting murals, drawing, riding my bike, splashing in the ocean, floating in my pool, baking incredible cakes, eating incredible cakes, getting all dressed up to go out, coming home and putting on my comfy clothes, reading, being with my family, being with my friends, collecting shiny objects, daydreaming, and obsessively studying obscure subjects on the internet.
General Personality/What makes you unique?:
