Bio:

Ok ... this is me ... my name is Miranda but the last person who called me that to my face is still recovering from brain damage. Most people call me Randi ... I'm a fun loving girl from the large town of Salem, Oregon (that's Orygun). I live in the "burbs" just outside the "ghetto" With my mommie, and my little brother (Nick) and my two cats (Mystic - but I call him Fabio - and Pryncess - whom I call Boobs). I love to party, hang out with cool people and chill by my lonesome. I am (more like was) very active in my church - on many committees and very involved with my youth group. I am still active, just not as much as when I was in high school. I work primarily with the middle schoolers, for liability reasons, and am an official chaperone (now). I absolutely adore little kids (between the ages of just born and 5th grade). I graduated HS in June (June 10th to be exact) of 2005 and I am a hard core SAXON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I go to UCLA (that’s University of Chemeketa Lancaster Avenue) and am working on a transfer somewhere a little bit bigger. Right now I’m looking into Drew University (in Madison, New Jersey) and Morningside College (in Sioux City, Iowa), and most other schools with Philosophy and/or Religion as a major. I am a very social person ... I love people. Though I was never popular enough in school to do anything more than speech and debate (I did Impromptu, poetry and LD) ... I did have an incredibly large group of friends. I'm a bit of a social butterfly and am very easy to talk to (I've been told). I like everybody. I'm a real laid back person. I grew up with a group of guy friends ... so I get along with guys a lot better than most girls ... and most of my friends are guys ... but I do have my girlfriends. I play Football, Soccer and an intricate combination of the two - similar to rugby, but not quite. My favorite game of all time would have to be bloody winkums ... It's so much fun ... partly because I'm a tackle AKA offensive/defensive lineman (or womyn). I really love to travel and have been to a couple of interesting places ... Mexico and Guatemala just to name two. My favorite place to be is at camp with all my camp friends ... Especially anyone (and everyone) from Workshop!!! ... some days I wish I could just live there with them ... but eventually it would turn into the same as it is at home. I'm a really big animal lover - especially of baby animals of all kinds - but tigers are my favorite. I quilt, journal, write short stories and poetry and am currently teaching myself to play the guitar in my spare time - which is very difficult, because I have a righty and I am a lefty. I am very random at times ... and generally hate silence. I do own a confederate flag. I played mailbox baseball. I have done just about everything there is to do. I grew up too fast for my own good. I love to hug people and make people smile. My favorite colors are black (which is actually a shade) and dark blue. One of my most treasured possessions is my navy blue sweatshirt I've had since 7th grade ... It is completely falling apart (it currently needs a new zipper) but I keep fixing it ... it is a jersey front zip up, and I got it when the thumb holes were all the rage and I've had to reinforce those so they wouldn't completely rip open ... one of the front pockets had been shredded from climbing in my window and that got a lovely patch on it. the hood string has been replaced because the old one got burned. It has many char marks, paint smudges, stinks of Patchouli and it is a miracle it doesn't disintegrate in the washing machine, it doesn't even keep you warm anymore ... but I love it anyways. But I have been forced to retire it. So here I am ... deal with it.

Why I Write:

WHAT ELSE IS THERE TO DO WITH MY FREE TIME ... STUDY??????? LOL ... I WRITE MOSTLY AS THERAPY TO HELP WITH THE STRESSORS IN MY LIFE, WHICH IS WHY MOST OF IT IS SO DARK. I ALSO WRITE AS A WAY TO ERESS MYSELF AS WELL AS MY IDEALS. I TRY TO WRITE THINGS THAT ARE TRUE TO REAL LIFE, MAYBE NOT MY LIFE BUT SOMEBODY'S. I LOVE TO WRITE NONSENSE AS WELL.

I AM AN INTROVERTED EXTROVERT ... AT TIMES I AM COMPLETELY OUTGOING AND OTHERS I AM TOTALLY SHY. I ALSO HAVE A WAY WITH TALKING ABOUT ANYTHING, ANY SUBJECT WITH EASE. NOTHING REALLY SEEMS TO "GET" TO ME. I AM VERY UNDERSTANDING AND COMPASSIONATE. MY YOUTH GROUP DEMANDS MY PRESSENCE FOR ALL ROAD TRIPS, BECAUSE I AM VIEWED AS A SOURCE OF ENTERTAINMENT. I ATTRACT SMALL CHILDREN FROM STATES AWAY ... I LOVE LITTLE KIDS.
