Bio:

I am a high school special education teacher. I have four children and live in a small town in Southcentral Texas. I've been happily married for almost 13 years. I enjoy reading and writing, playing with my children and gardening.

Why I Write:

My writing is an outlet for thoughts. It's either write or talk to myself, and everyone thinks I'm crazy enough as it is. Poetry seems to be an inherited trait. Both my father (who I barely knew) and his mother wrote poetry. I also like to write within the parameters that poetry asks for. Lately, thanks to people I've met online, I've started writing lyrics.

General Personality/What makes you unique?:

I'm really laid back, and generally a peacemaker, although I am fairly truthful in my opinions. I try to be honest, but positive if at all possible. Just don't make me mad, then my alter ego takes over.
