    Fortress

    Mood: In Love

       Paint me in your flesh.
    Dust me with your dreams.
    Carve me out of your fantasies.
    I am your clay to mould.
    Make me what you wish.
    But should you keep me the way I am--
    Rough, unfinished;
    Then will I know the kind of man you are.
    Should you say to me:
    "Your flaws are my fortress."
    Then will I know.

       I see a hand so nimble,
    And it is so close to me;
    But will the hand I touch
    Return that touch to me?
    I see lips of cherry symbol
    And passion calls to me;
    But will the lips I kiss
    Return that kiss to me?
    I see a heart a-tremble,
    And the heart sees me;
    But will that heart I love
    Return that love to me?

       Hey all!

    In case some of you haven't noticed, I've cleaned out my poetry on this site, due to publishing reasons. I'm keeping a few select poems on here, and I will also be posting anything new that I write, but I will be keeping my collection cleaned out.

    I apologise if I deleted things that were on your favourites lists, but I suppose you'll just have to buy my book when it comes out ;) *wink wink*

    Hope everyone is well!

    Cheers and God Bless,

    ~Mandi~

       Hey everybody!

    I just wanted to take a moment and let everyone know that I really appreciate all your comments on my poems :)

    I apologise that I haven't been able to reply to all of your comments, but my grandfather has been in the hospital, and things have been crazy around here for a while. So I just wanted to say thanks, your comments really mean a lot! :)

    Cheers and God bless,

    ~Mandi Gayle~
