    Poem Generators

    Mood: Fun!

    Posted on 2007-10-21 20:26:35

I found two interesting poem generators. Try them just for fun:

    The first one: http://thinkzone.wlonk.com/PoemGen/PoemGen.htm

In this one, you can type in your own words in the different columns, specify a sentence pattern (using numbers 1-9), and hit 'Make Poem'. Makes some interesting things depending on what words you give it.

    The second one: http://cmdrtaco.net/poemgen.cgi

In this one, you give the generator a URL, and then it takes random words from the page and assembles them in something resembling a poem. Odd yet funny.

I tried this second one on the URL for the first chapter of my story "Tangerine" and got something interesting. I extracted it and this is what I got:

    Getting out of
    the sly devils that day
    we had
some left over to be late for
    the down again. Ah
    yes, nothing
    quite overbearing. We hastened back
    to these documents
She looked like having a while,
painting landscapes of those beautiful creatures.
    more a canyon. We were.

    Messed up, huh?

    Jubilee Years

    Mood: Too much at once...

    Posted on 2007-09-28 10:14:19

       Torrents of jubilee
    Years cascading down
    Growing upwards toward
    The castle in the sky

Free from the chains when young
But with increasing height comes much
    For one to bear
And freedom becomes a limited dream

A dream, will we ever live it again?

    Thousand Words

    Mood: Rant

    Posted on 2007-09-26 11:28:14

Yes, yes. I am about to rant again. This time about user pictures. When someone first starts out, their picture is just a blank white thing that says "Elite". Shortly after you sign up, I believe you should have a picture. But I've seen some people who have been here as long as me and yet they still have "Elite" for their picture. Come on people! Picture Up!

    READ THIS!

    Mood: Rant

    Posted on 2007-09-25 06:54:53

I've noticed some things that I am not happy about:

    1) Commenting. Holy crap. Tons and tons of people are reading but then not saying anything about a poem. Not even a few words. I don't care if they like a poem or hate it, but they should say something!

    2) Disappearing members. Everyone is running of to WritersCafe.org. Oh, sure, it's got a prettier design and all, but it is nowhere as nice as eliteskills. WritersCafe is even MORE lacking in commenting. It's crap. I put a few poems on there and then I basically ditched it. Forget WritersCafe, I've got Eliteskills. Where's the loyalty, the generosity, the intelligence?

    Too quiet...

    Mood: Sigh...

Eliteskills has been pretty quiet the past couple of days. Epiphany, where are you? *sob*

    I'm Back!

    Mood: Poety Delicious

    Posted on 2007-09-18 07:50:17

I couldn't resist! I've written a few new poems and I've been dying to share them! I put some of them on my blog, but I wanted to come back to eliteskills. The poet inside me was calling out, and I succumbed to his cries.

    Never Too Old

    Mood: TRUTH

You're never too old for pokemon
    Or video games
    Or poetry

You're never too old for youth itself
