I had no time to Hate—

Because

The Grave would hinder Me—

And Life was not so

Ample I

Could finish—Enmity—

Nor had I time to Love—

But since

Some Industry must be—

The little Toil of Love—

I thought

Be large enough for Me—

Hey Scott, nice post. It’s interesting how one piece of pvoitise feedback, and attempt to push on the discussion can have such a satisfying and stimulating affect on the mind. Sometimes that’s all it takes to make you think an idea or thought is worthwhile, I had to keep a blog for several months last year (as part of my academic course) but I didn’t feel comfortable having people reading it; I had intended to carry it on as a little personal journal but eventually I just got tired of writing it for myself and moved on, one little comment here and there could have probably saved it. I do have to start another one next year (my final year!) so I might take your lead and open it up and see what happens.I wish I could comment on your posts more, but more often than not I’m not well versed on the subjects, however I am here reading.Keep it up, and take care my friend.Craig CraigRickardb7 21/08/09 at 12:09b7Hey Scott, nice post. It’s interesting how one piece of pvoitise feedback, and attempt to push on the discussion can have such a satisfying and stimulating affect on the mind. Every word in this post is genuine. People like you and the others here are what social media is about not celebrity. b7 21/08/09 at 13:15b7Robin your conparison is excellent and very useful- that definitely deserves a post of it's own! And, as always, thank you for your continued contribution and community. As I wrote above, I was starting out to be a 'blogger' but the encouragement from everyone has inspired me.For me, my measure of a good post has become the breadth and depth of dicussion it generates. I can't imagine how hard it must be to maintain a blog without them!As always, all the best my friend. b7 21/08/09 at 13:19b7Craig thanks for not only the kind words but also the openness. This happens to me so often it isn't even funny. Then again, I let my chcaraters talk in my head somedays, for hours. Hey, it kept me entertained as a child ;)Current book? Totally off track from where I thought it was going and they're still sending me scrambling. Of course, then I do a what if and they start cooperating again, even with changes :)~S x x

When I was younger I had great trolbue with Emily. Sometimes she seemed extremely obvious, others, like she was communicating from a distant planet. She seems to have developed, to a larger degree than most of us who write or otherwise try to translate from inner to other, her own internal language. Yet aging, I find it to be a language I may not speak, but can follow at least on a good day. These poems have her feel of not being able to control or even to capture what flies by, of life that is too real to be a dream and too fragile to be real the last stanza of the second poem seems to me to make that contradictory fleeting order out of chaos that is so central to the heart's world anyway, it gave me a sense of resolution, of completion in those last few lines.
