How Many Times?

This poem is about forgiveness.

The model of forgiveness comes from God and is best illustrated by Jesus on the cross, begging God the Father to forgive those who crucified Him.

I hope that you will cast aside any grudge or resentment and will seek or grant forgiveness. Forgiveness is the first step on the path to peace.

Apology

An "apology" (from the Greek) is the defense of one's beliefs.

This is in the ABAAB format on top of being an acrostic. The poem is metered and rhyming. Each stanza supports the word formed in each acrostic word.

Forgive my French. "Finis" (the third acrostic) implies Christ's final statement before dying, "It is finished."

P.S. Please remember the near destruction of Mankind in the account of Noah and the flood. That is the "first regret" reference in the third stanza.

P.S.S. The "to the tee" reference is the cross.

Sorry for all the footnotes.
