The model of forgiveness comes from God and is best illustrated by Jesus on the cross, begging God the Father to forgive those who crucified Him.

I hope that you will cast aside any grudge or resentment and will seek or grant forgiveness. Linda's father and my best friends' dad are buried there, both veterans of World War II. This is in the ABAAB format on top of being an acrostic. The poem is metered and rhyming. Each stanza supports the word formed in each acrostic word.

Forgive my French. "Finis" (the third acrostic) implies Christ's final statement before dying, "It is finished."
