 Topic  Words Hold Power
Message  People say words to hurt and hold no power, but those people can’t face the truth.
Words hold uncanty power unstable at that. When you go up to somebody and call them a sorry mother fucker who diserves to be whipped by a casterated man whom looks like that person mother. That will obviously piss them off after hearing that. And they will attack you. Most people won’t be like. " wow words dont hurt me but sticks and stones will. " thats a little kid lie, as you grow you become more inteligent and don’t build up a barrier to satisfy you. Thats why spells and enchantmens incantations n such. Words are powerful, also giving you a good way to show how you feel. Right how you express your words and how others should too. Doesn’t have to give praise, or be nice. Can be how to pick up chicks fo all I care.
Words bring, lies, love, hatred, praise, wonder, questions, theres so many things words can do its unbarable. Write whatever you want.

Message  I agree with what most are saying. Words heart emotionally and mentally; it can really tear you apart.
What about rumors? They’re created by words... and they can indirectly (or directly, depends on how you look at it) hurt others badly. Are parents still going to be saying "words can’t hurt you only stick and stones will"? I mean, in all honesty, it’s a good line to taunt bullies and get them off your back if you know how to use it but it’s still incredibly... well, incredibly naive for someone to think so.
Nothing wrong with naivety and innocence but... uhh, whoops lost track of what I was ranting about.
Anyways, they can leave you feeling hollow inside and in desperate need for something to latch on or they can give your ego or self-esteem a boost.
[Sorry, story writing side might show up]
Words are like any weapon except they might hurt more... Depends really but words can’t be "evil" or "good"; it’s only in how you use them.
Comfort, Love, Anger, Hatred, Annoyance? Words express that better than anything... of course, in some cases, actions do, but...
Isn’t it ironic? Parents say they "Words can’t hurt you, only sticks and stones will" also say that you should talk things out. Using words instead of violence.
Words hold a power because it is the most BASIC and EASIEST way to communicate, to express, to learn, and I’ll stop before my rant becomes too long... Oh well...

Message  Who are you to me?
My friend you you say?
You dont know what tramples through my mind
Deceit is my fortee
A chameleon In human skin
You can never know me.
I change like the wind
And friendship only comes
If you bow to me will.

 Message  UNTITLED

Talk not of strength
till your heart has known
and fought with weakness through
long hours alone

Talk not of virtue, till your
conquering soul has met with temptation
and gained full control.

Boast not of garments,
all unscorched by sin,
till you have passed unscathed
through fires within.

I found this piece in a turn of the century poetry book that I have which is falling to pieces now. It is one of the most inspiring and well thought out pieces I have ever read. Its beauty is divine. I hope you all enjoy it as much as I do every time I read it. thank you, sincerely, -sinmore

Message  This reminds me of the poem "Words" which I submitted two days ago at Elite... lol, coincidental? Anyway, I’d said in my poem description that while people say actions speak louder than words, I think words are the ones that MAKE these actions.

Message  On the contrary, actions exist to rectify the silence that speaks louder than words. Words speak louder than actions, especially the words that are never said.

Message  I feel that it is very important to be careful to use the correct word in every situation (of course I don’t always succeed), because misunderstandings started with incorrect wording sometimes lead to the breakup of life long friendships, and words once said or written can never be called back.

Message  I choose my words to make people think about what they do or how they treat a circumstance or person. Or to make someone smile. Or to prove a point.

The mark of a person’s character lies in how they use their words. The thing is, words are just like a knife or a gun. They can be used for good (praise, encouragement, support, love, spreading knowledge and truth) or for evil (insults, mocking, belittling, hate, spreading fear and lies).

How do you choose to use your words?

Message  i do agree that words can be very hurtful, often more so than sticks and stones. it is the emotional and verbal abuse that often scars us worse, cutting at our very self-esteem. bruises heal, but words leave injuries that are way more than skin deep.
