| User | DrewDilla | 2005-12-18 | | | Subject | Rappers | | Message | Dr. Dre~cause he can make some killer beats And not that bad of rap but can he freestyle? Tupac love his style and think he can freestyle. Eminem~ he gave Dr. Drea a twist and brought out black version of him self -- 50 cent--> who I think is one of the best rapper pimps. Cause of his style. I heard him before Em found him back in 93 had a friend that spinz records He had a NY record with DJz from there and it had two songs bye 50Cent. We used to rip bongs and bump old school 50 like almost everyday for a couple weeks. |

| User | Winterbliss | 2005-05-15 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | OMG Jbills... I am sooo glad to see that someone has recognized the true meaning of Hip Hop. Everytime I read that someone on this site dosen’t like hip hop... and the reason for it, I want to scream. They are totally blindsided by the crap on the radio, and think thats what hip hop is all about. The underground acts whom you speak of, are the ones who represent the hip hop I know and love.
My top five:
Notorious B.I.G
Common
Mos Def
Kanye West(Listen to his album)
The Roots

| User | Alize | 2005-04-19 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | This is old... but I still have to stick my nose in and say that I would be... very different if it wasn’t for music ... music for me is hip hop.
It’s like it was in my blood from the beginning, and life would be so strange without it. It’s a way of life... and it’s not going anywhere. Like me. Yea, some hip hop sucks. Okay, some country sucks (actually all of it to me, I detest it. But I don’t jump on boards telling people who support it that it’s FUCKING stupid). Some rock sucks, some of that goth stuff sucks, all pop sucks (if you ask me, but once again, I wouldn’t say FUCK pop), and so on.
Eminem makes me sick. I just started listen to Tupac, dude was a genius (I think everybody is tho)... Usher can sing, but ... I can only take so much of him. He’s a cutie tho. I LOVE Lil Jon. A weakness, b/c I’m from Orlando an I love southern rap (excluding Lil Flip)... UGK, Goodie Mob, Outkast
Ludacris is THE genius. Listen to him. I can hate the beats to half of his songs and still be blown away by what he says, and how smooth he is. He’s not as elegant as Rakeem, as progressive as Run DMC (until he does that song with Green Day, or whoever the hell it was. Then he’ll have Other People buying his music-didn’t that happen with Jay-Z after he joined with Linkin Park for that album?)
NWA, haha. They didn’t get so good until they broke up and then really had something to bitch about. Adversity breeds Good Stuff. Look what it did to Nas-lil Nasir blasted Jay-Z when he had the chance to rise to the occasion. Anybody hear Ether?
P Diddy... let me not go there. I frown and say he brought no class to thugs... he never WAS a thug, just someone out to make money. So in that sense, he was a lil money-making genius. But never musical.
Biggie? Huh. I liked the Player’s Song from Jr. Mafia... maybe that counts as a score for him?
Well, I’m mouthy... there was no reason for me to say all that. Lemme say somethin else before I go... my favorites
#1 album- Outkast:::Stankonia..... #2 UGK:::Dirty Money..... #3 Jagged Edge:::Hard.... #4 Kelis:::Kaleidescope #5 Mario:::The Turning Point. |

| User | D.Johnson p.s.a | 2005-02-23 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I see in both of my forums Eminem gets lots of Love. I guess he deserves it. But I do love that Mocking Bird video that was pretty nice for his daughter. Even though I only got to see the beggining because TRL SUCKS at showing videos all the way I guess I have to wait till it drops on 106 & Park.
and about that comment on TRL it pretty muchs sucks as a whole I mean I’m not even home to watch it and I really don’t care if I miss it.
But I’ll watch every other show that comes on the station.
