(Do titles of books count?)
The sword in the stone,
How it glitters and shines,
Merlin set it there for it to be unmoveable...
Until its time,
Glow with pride,
Because it’s a story to tell again and again,
Never forgotten,
It’ll live in the hearts of yours and mine,
Remember when only Arthur can pull the sword from the stone?
A mere child I’m told,
But what of a different version enfolds?
Remember when Arthur chooses a bride?
Guinevere was her name,
Her beauty outshines all others,
So it was said,
Let the story of Arthur, High King of Britain live on,
Of the Round Table,
Of Betrayal,
Of Loyalty,
As well as Death,
And Honor, as well...
So let the story tell of the knights and the life of Arthur,
For it is a wonderful story to tell... |

creditors! what do you want my blood?
I’ve paid the piper yet the tune changes,
you feed off of dead economic corpses,
hunger for the broken and lame,
to make that percent off of those who suffer.
threats of your future in their hands,
we will destroy you on the battlefield,
so next time you ever have that itch,
to buy a new car or need to rent a house,
our effects will follow you.
I submit! I’ll pay, I’ll pay!!

entries galore of words the boggle my mind,
so many choices,
in a seemingly infinite display,
bolded entries; the chosen word,
its pronunciation in parenthesis,
superlatives and multiple endings,
roots in brackets some Latin and Greek,
many meanings for one word.
and after the “and” its thesaurus,
another key to open the lock,
to sibling words in a great family,
of language.

of the burning sun...
An aged earth weaves
its ancient dance of
Dark shadows on a
cloudless night,
Glowing crescent moon
Shading fragrant meadows
In the valley of a cool,
Grassy mountain,
Surrounded by a tapestry
of budding flowers...
He was right...the time has come.

when i think of christmas cheer
all i think of is christmas beer
sucking down the tears i cried
when i found my life had died
in flood water no less
i still dread death, i confess
sunday best, celebrate the holiday
i’ll never have again
so here in the state capital i’ll stay
sitting in a new recliner
sipping quickly my noel away |

sorry... the only things i can think of right now are along the lines of ’they’ll never see you stab them in the back’ and i dont really want to write a poem about family that’s like that... i’ll try to come back and do this when i’m in a better mindset |
