Off in the distance
A midnight’s roar
A terrifying scream
Of a sky being torn
High above
In the sky
A burst of flame
Another midnight scream
More lights clear from the heavens
To shower on the ground
Another one goes down
Another dream shattered
A dream of vast skies
Of wings to fly upon
Now goes up in flame
To end that dream
Amidst the shattered skies
A protector’s engine sounds
And gentle wings soar high
Above the clouds
Down he shoots
The Betrayer of Dreams
As a plane goes down
He finds more
Flying solo
No one around
To save him
When his plane goes down
Gunfire and missiles
Meet in the air
Only one touch
To go down in flare
The Cruel One is touched
By a flying Reaper
Flares up in the heavens above
His followers run in defeat
The Protector returns home
Waiting for the next flight
For another victory
Is another endless fight
