| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2008-03-13 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | splay my balls like cantelope
suck the juice like nectar
pluck my eyeballs like olives on a toothpick
rip out my intestine through my anus
and stuff it with politicians |
| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-06-01 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | the ginger snaps lick my balls
suck me suck me
lollipop walls
the penis rises, later it falls
but not before
it peeks through the door
of a lucky lucky
doll
slip slurp, get me off
rip your skirt
if you must
the drip drop on your bust
looks like icing
oh yeah oh yeah
right there right there
that’s it
don’t stop
OK now
bite me
punch me in the face
oh god that feels good |

All there was to see
Was seen before weening
Now these lips are dry and cracked
suckling the buttons
on a remote control
The eyes that guide them
weep with no tears
for the world they see
And the world, it weeps
with tears of acid and ashes
for the heart it lost in blindness

| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-29 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | This may seem an odd statement of love,
but let me say anyway, and please read with open mind,
that in the times we spend apart
I meet many women.
Do not let this rub you the wrong way,
it is nicer than it sounds, and I must tell you the truth;
whether their breasts be big or small
their size is never quite right.
These lines, I know, they stumble along,
drunk with glee that you see them. I am a bumbling fool, too,
when your beautiful eyes see mine,
and I drink of your soul.
I love you.

| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-25 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Love is the filler of the void of the lonely,
assuaging the emptiness so often mentioned
in poems like this that bound on the pointless.
But my love has been poured from the pitcher of happinesss
by the distance between us and my hapless intuition,
forsaking the life that I pictured us living
in each others arms, forever. |
| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-20 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | life is a poem
but this is not life
it’s only an attempt
to understand loss
as the measure of love
what can be said is
that more than we need love
we need not to lose it
but often we do and
there’s nothing more brutal
than wishing it hadn’t
gone away
and the end
is always
too sudden |
| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-18 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | make me your whited sepulchre
your fleshy vice
devour my penis in the trench of your thighs
grant me no fantasies, or escapes from reality
make them unnecessary, fuck me, claw me
pulverize my desire to a dust of exhaustion
with your buttocks, your breasts and the palms of your hands
kneading away
the frailties of manhood
with the touch of a woman

| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-16 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | An old, wooden bench that once belonged to Bernard Baruch
holds magazines covered with the faces of rich people.
My mom tells me how she bought it from the church
after it tore down the former home of Camden’s greatest citizen
to build a new dining hall.
Nevermind that the town is mostly covered with trees
and ubiquitous brick buildings of no particular provenance.
It’s funny how most of the furniture was bought by church members,
and the building contract was given to a deacon.
The least these fat bastards could have done
was to build a gym for their own children,
but I guess the past isn’t the only thing that they don’t
give a rat’s ass about.

| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-15 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | love turns into jazz music
spinning bee-bop steps and endless solos
in a dimly lit bar
where even the band is an audience
and everyone empathizes
with the syncopated highs and lows
each note leading a blind song
through a haze of smoke
and brass whispers |
| User | Learah | 2005-03-15 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Hmmm... I thought you didn’t read much?
Doesn’t really sound like my cup of tea. I’m SO not an intellectual reader. I just want a good story, heavy prose kills me stone dead... |
| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-14 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | No, it’s not obscure, but it’s on almost every page of the C-H Brewitt Taylor translation of Romance of the Three Kingdoms. So are words like "obeisance" and "vanguard". I’n not saying they don’t exist in current usage, just that the books I read growing up used them a whole heap more than the latest John Grisham novel or Hemmingway classic.
"Romance of the Three Kingdoms" is, by the way, an extremely taxing book to read, and only for the diehard multi-cultural enthusiast. |
| User | Learah | 2005-03-14 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Um, I don’t think "asunder" is particularly obscure. I just think that NC isn’t very well-read. |
| User | Black Rock Tractor | 2005-03-14 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Yeah, I came into using that word because it was so widely used by the victorian translators of chinese literature. That’s where I’ve gotten a lot of less common words. I’ve read them so much that they feel natural. They’re good words. |
| User | Learah | 2005-03-14 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | LOL "asunder" is a word!
"a·sun·der ( P ) Pronunciation Key (-sndr)
adv.
Into separate parts or pieces: broken asunder.
Apart from each other either in position or in direction: The curtains had been drawn asunder. "
In future, check dodgy words in a dictionary before you attack people. |
