| User | charmedidentity | | Topic | Haunting pasts | | Message | Why is it that the pasts haunts us when we least want it to?
We are humans after all and we do commit mistakes from time to time. Those are some of our characteristics and so what if we have some skeletons in our closets, who doesn’t.
But why some people are determined to revieal those skeletons to make us feel so badly about ourselves?
Thanks for replying.

Yeah, there had to be a geek with a relevant anime quote, but it’s still relevant. The past is there because we can always learn from it, as long as we don’t dwell solely upon it. Those people who air the skeletons in their closet all the time are those who cannot tear themselves away from the past. They try foisting their pasts on others to try and escape it and turn to the future... Or they’re just angsty and need a kick in the teeth ^-^; |

But we alll suffer the same syndrome of past reoccurances, dwell not on what happened, but rather on whats to come. Everyday is a gift...thats why they call it the present. We fear many things, when we want to the most we remember and shed that tears of unwelcome. Its not happiness of overcome it, or the fear of it happening again. |

its what brings fear to the front line of hope
sure every soul has a haunting ghost
following them every moment of the day
the greater task is not how we deal with our demons
but how we over power our wrongs
and turn our choices into emotions
and thus turning our emotions into art |

Then again most of the things that I say are pointless. |

"Those who live in the past will never have a future. . ." but "Those who forget the past are damned to repeat it. . ."
You have to let go but not forget. . .face it. . .it’ll get better. . .till you do, get ready to be tired and screwed and futureless. . . |

you know the old saying "the past catches up with you", well it’s true for every one..believe it’s painful, but it needs to be done...the things we’ve done in the past and the reminder of it yrs. later is only a way to see what mistakes we’ve made and to learn from every single one it....
to those who choose to reveal it to us---sometimes it’s a mistake on their part, thinking it’s not going to hurt you--sometimes they’re oblivious to that...but to those who know the pain it causes you, then it’s b/c they’re afraid of their own past so they choose to rant on someone else....

Because they’re manipulative snakes. Stay away, protect yourself.
Or they’re really trying to help, and you just think they’re only doing it to hurt you. Or they’re socially inept and have no idea they’re causing you pain. |

Some people wanna know what the deal is on their own rather than finding out later and being surprised or hurt by it. |
