I follow more of a mystic mind and Im actually interest in switching from an eclectic wiccan to a mystic wiccan but Im not quite sure yet. I am very dedicated to my religion but I don’t let it run my life. It’s a very big part of my life yes, but I do not let it go over board like many or the christians around here. I personally think christianity was made to brain wash people, but hey what do I know? |

| User | YoungWerther | 2005-08-11 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I don’t believ in such tartuffery, read the ancient books and you’ll be surprised how many crooks existed. And even so if one claims himself Christian, its impossible to be so, the Leviticus is being retaliated by showing little respect most people can’t keep up with the 10 commandments. There are frightfully so many ’liars’. Well then, can the first honest Christian declare to me right now that he’s followed every word. After all, God does want his followers to be faithful.
love as always

But I see your point.
Last Sunday we were doing communion, and we had a new pastor. Normally we have servers who pass the trays of grape juice and bread cubes down the aisles, but she wanted us to come forward, be served at three serving stations, and then return to our seats. It’s supposed to be more friendly and personal.
*shnork*
Our sanctuary is shaped like a baseball diamond, with five sectors of pews. Three pairs of servers stood in front of three of the aisles. The congregation filed out of the pews, each server said "Peace of Christ be upon you" like in Harry Potter or something, and the served circled back to their seats, some of them a very long way.
More people went to the center aisle than to the other two aisles, maybe for subconscious symbolic reasons or something. Soon the middle of the church had a standing line, like in an airplane minutes before they let you off. People from the outer aisles started crossing over the pews to get to the center aisle, so many that when Mom got up to go down the side aisle, an old lady behind us scolded her for going the wrong way. By then, the servers on our side had left their spot to pass their plates down another aisle, instead of standing there stupidly while everyone went for the center instead, so we got into the big line down the center of the sanctuary.
Here the organist and pianist were quietly deciding on what song to play after the one they were on ran out.
We got in the line, then the servers on our side reappeared at their proper post, and we crossed back over the aisle, forcing the couple next to us to stand to get out of our way, got into the short line, grabbed our grape juice and raisin-sized Wonderbread cubes, and got back to our seats. Communion took half an hour.
The pastor was standing there the whole time, and our old pastor was there, too, he mortified, she embarrased. No red-faced jokes in the benediction. We burst for the door. |

| User | Rokhal | 2005-08-09 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Well, see, you read the Bible. You should read other texts, too, and theology. I didn’t say go to church regularly or show off. |
| User | idlewriter | 2005-08-09 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I believe in God, and no it doesn’t make you a sinner if you do not have a religion...and it doesn’t make you lazy...you don’t need a religion preference to say you have faith...if it works, you can sit at home and read the bible, confess to God alone in your room...pray to him alone in your room...you don’t need to go to a church to display your faith...it all depends on where everybody likes to worship...
I believe in God, but I don’t go to church everytime, but I still believe in him and I pray and confess to him...when the time comes...I’ll go to church privatley and pray there...
but yes I do believe |
