 Topic  Poem challenge
Message  Hey I started writing this poem along time ago and I guess forgot about it and never finished it, so decided to see what other people would do with it. finish or change this poem to make it work.

Feet ungrounded
Lost in space
World devoid of color, smell, or taste
Watching life through a movie screen
Can’t feel what is seen
No longer feel like me
Devoid of emotion that use to be
Feels like another resides inside
Using me to be alive
What is this that I feel?
Alien sensations seem so real

 Message  Feet ungrounded
Lost and floating
I find
the world seems to have lost its
color

I watch
life through a movie screen
Can’t feel what I have seen
my fingers grasp air

These days it
feels like another resides inside
Using me to be alive

Message  I suddenly notice my feet are ungrounded,
I look, and the empty spaces are where I find myself, floating,
loose, but not free

The world around me is empty,
Color, taste, sound,
have all disappeared

I am watching the life behind my back with a mirror,
watching the future on a movie screen

Around me are all the things I can see,
Only one of them I can touch

I... no longer feel like myself
My reactions are gone, my emotions devoured
I can feel someone else residing inside of me
Using my heart to be alive

Now, here is something new
What is this,
this thing that I feel?

Color is back,
but sight has vanished,
and all of these alien sensations seem to be reality

 Message  Imbedded
middle of the day
restless, restless
failure to focus
child of predestiny
bird in a cage
eyes casting
pensive or apprehensive
perception or reality
who might know
if spirits can fly

Message  who is this person, i do not know
so out of place, a wonderer
this feeling of lonliness, i can nought but tell
longing for my rightful place in this world
A place i call my home.

no one can tell that i’m troubled
longing for my rightful place in this world
A place i call my home.

Message  Then suddenly a blinding light
that change in course it seemed so right
I’ve passed beyond my night eclipse.
My lungs they fill, my heart it ticks.
This newborn sun how warm it is.
My skin again feels like my own,
and aliens flee to dark unknown.

 Message  Piercing, withering gaze,
Received from that poor child,
Is this not sufficed?
Glances I sent back to him,
O’er his nonchalant haze,

Docile outwardly I seem,
Strolling down the beach,
With the plausible hope,
That your disappointed eyes,
Might vanish with my dreams

 Subject  It is done!
 Message  I twist and turn
No hope in sight
The darkness has come
To devour the light
This muted life
That I now live
A flicker of a promise
That I wanted to give
Feet ungrounded
Lost in space
I float away
Without a trace
Alien sensations seem so real
Unknown sensations
That I feel
It is just a war I fight
A war within
A war for light
And now it is a battle lost
They have come
They have claimed
Taking my soul away with them

Message  Touch right through the floor
Like a raindrop-skin,
I slide out from a raindrop skin
And drop in the cold, dry wind.
I had never felt my hair blow,
Nor my toes and fingers whistle,
But now my skin is bare,
And something knows to laugh
As the ground puckers below.

and everyone will wonder why
and all of them will disppear
and we’ll all wonder why we were left here

Message  ...And stil the camera reel will roll
and stars will shine
and the world won’t know
the screams that never reach an ear
my haunting cries that no one hears
reach in the void
take
my
hand
these emotions are something
I don’t understand.
I cling to every breath
every second
every sight
in this colorless void
I am the light....

 Message  Toes void,
In the void my hair floats wide as kelp.
In this black void there is no kelp,
But a black clicking of little metal toes,
Metal reeling dried old celluloid across a silver screen.
See the screen.
My face is silver like my silver hair,
A silver spider spinning in my ear
Whose whirring toes wind all the void in kelp.
