 Topic  Short Story Ideas
Message  Well I have this thing where I start all these great stories and never even get close to finishing them. Now a couple a have told me to enter in competitions cause they reckon I’m great for my age. And of course I can’t think of anything good. :P I must be trying to hard.

Anyway, I was wondering if you have any ideas on how to get ideas or a baseline. I would be writing it for sort of 10-16 and I’d like it to be fairly serious as in not the mad queen and a wishing ring type thing.

Message  @ ghostlymagic and anyone else: Keep on writing everyday until you stumble on something that you find interesting. Try to write anything and everything that comes to your noggin the minute it kicks in. I would also find what 10-16 year olds like. Personally, I like magic realism, magic (general), and modern day urban stories. I’d stay away from anything that has to do with the future though, those are a total turn off.
