Message	I know that this topic is really old, but still there are some things that are still funky (bad kind) on this site. I think Mr. Ruska has done a great job on adding the new features on the role playing section, but there is always going to be problems. People always look for a negative and cannot just accept that this site isn’t perfect. We’re got rid of the glitchers, but who’s to say that we won’t have another epidemic? I know that most of the old members have disappeared into the wind, but that doesn’t mean that the later generations have to follow suit. As a community, I believe that if you want to make a change on this site, you have to work at it. I believe that previous attempts have failed because they weren’t as organized. Anyways, that’s just my two cents on the subject. Role players on Elite Skills have to accept that fact that others aren’t willing to learn. After all, everyone has a different reason for being on here. Roleplaying on this site so far goes through fads (or at least that’s what I perceive it to be). Fads usually don’t last, but they are annoying the day they infest the community. I wonder if any of those RP’s get finshed. I’m going to guess no. If there’s a chance to stop whatever you don’t like, take it. Approach the situation as calm and don’t try to bite the opposition’s neck. I think if real RPers want a real RP, they should actually get together and brainstorm. All I can say right now is take advantage on what’s in front of you. Don’t afraid to jump into a RP, no one is going to kill you. By the way, it irks me when people ask to join. Go ahead if it’s not specified in the rules.

Message	It certainly doesn’t help that forum RP is terrible anyhow, and that the majority of RPers on this site have no understanding of the basics of character development and progression. Each story is like the other in that there always seems to be a common theme, be it fighting schools, underage sex, self absorbed emo cutters, furry slaves, or just a grouping of people who think their favorite anime is sooooo cool that they just have to find an excuse to play their favorite character (usually terribly). In the old days of RP, (and I mean old days, I’m talking no less than 8 years ago) there was an actual attempt at playing a character, people seemed a lot more capable and intelligent in their going about the whole subject. Nowadays it seems to have fallen to cosplay and social ineptness. Sad, really. ~KRG

Message	I know how you feel. There has been so much spam that I couldn’t stand it anymore. There are too many worthless rps and it needs to stop. I’ve noticed that a lot of new people are stubborn as hell when I try to explain to them about the chaos that’s been going on. None of them are nice, even if you give them a warm welcome. And there needs to be more advanced features to the rp threads, like you mentioned. There needs to be a sort of banning feature including an edit feature. We’ve been trying to contact Jimmy forever but he will never listen. He dislikes the rp side with passion. But if we all work together then maybe we could make this a better place. Instead, people are quitting ES and leaving us behind.

Message	There is no edit function and just about as much hope for Jimmy helping out the rp section. Believe me, a lot of people on the rp side of ES have been trying to get his attention and get something done about it, but I can’t see that happening. People who have no idea what they are doing runs rampant as does simple minded roleplays. I hope that in the future this will be fixed.
