Message	well, i myself was adopted. i was born in Germany to a German mother and an American soldier father. my mother apparently had other children. in German, at that time, if you couldn’t care properly for your child, you could put him/her in an orphanage temporarily. i’m not sure if that was her intent, because i’ve never found her. but my adoptive parents have always told me the story of when they found me and how they chose me. my Dad especially likes to tell the story of how they saw me in my crib, rocking back and forth, and they told the nuns (it was a Catholic orphanage), "We want her." i’ve always felt loved and never had a problem with it. there are too many unwanted children in the world. i think adoption is a great thing. if i decided to have kids, i would adopt. no sense in bringing another child into the world when there are so many out there who need a home. and i would adopt an older child, probably age 4 or 5 (i don’t do babies...).
