Also on another note about contests, I think it would be cool to have a villanelle contest. This form is pretty challenging to write well and it would be cool to see what people came up with.

I thought to start off with an average poetry theme... Alternative Valentine’s Day poem... but MisterJimmy aint around!
However, I do like your idea about the villanelle but not sure if it would work just yet. Simply put, not enough people know how to write them. I think in a while... I’m gonna start working on a new section of ES soon, that explains different styles of poetry (such as villanelles and sestinas, sonnets, etc.) how to write them, some examples of classic poems (Dylan’s "Do Not Go Gentle" would be my first choice for a villanelle :P ).
When that section is up and running, hopefully it’ll generate an interest and mybe then we could open a villanelle comp because more people might know how to write one.
