 Topic  Help with the ladies
Message  I really really like this girl. But I’m kinda scared to call her and tell her. Should I tell it to her face or just get it over with and call her. If you’ve read any of my poems about her, you’d now how deeply I feel about her. I must do something. And pretty soon.

I’m too late, I bet.
But if you want to tell her, tell her in a way that is not... emotional.
Slip it in quietly as a joke or something. You’ve got to be pompous about it - you like her, but is she good enough for you? attitude.
Here are my don’ts:
DON’T be needy. That’s not manly...
DON’T give her special treatment. Slaves don’t earn respect...
and DON’T act weak. Women want someone strong.

Message  Yeah, everyone can stop giving advice. I’ve decided the lady isn’t worth convincing. I don’t want to sound harsh, but I can’t stand to be around her anymore than I have to.

Message  Okay, whatever happens, I would advise NOT to do it on the phone! It might not matter to her (she might be so stoked that you told her that she might not care how you tell her) but trust me, in person is so much better, even if you get hurt. Facing something like that is tough, but trust me, it’s worth it if just for the experience.

Message  I’d say tell her to her face...why don’t you share one of your poems with her. Personally, i would hate it if someone called me on the phone to tell me something like that. I feel like this...if a person wants to be with me then tell me and be real about it. The realest way to tell her is to tell her up close and personal.

Message  Well she’s kinda my ex, but thing have changed in my life that I didn’t want to take her through and to give us a little ’off’ time so to speak, so she’s read my stuff before. I think I’ve matured some so maybe she’ll see that when I talk to her. And thanx everyone for the advice, it really helps.

Message  Okay. What I’ve got to say for you is... stand up and be a man! If you like a girl, tell her. There’s nothing that girls like more than a guy who’s going to stand up and take responsibility in a relationship. Even if she turns you down -- all things are possible -- she will have a new respect for you because she knows you AREN’T A WUSS. This is worth big points. It doesn’t really matter how you do it -- notes and written stuff is a little fifth grade, but whatever works for you. Just go for it. And by the way... if she’s read your stuff, she probably knows. Girls have a way of "reading into things". Trust me. How did she read your poems, btw?

Message  do it, i say. life is too short to not tell someone how you feel. so she doesn’t feel the same way or rejects you... at least you will know the truth. and who knows, she may be carrying a torch for you herself. don’t waste your time. i wasted too many years not speaking what i felt. like i said, life is too short. good luck!
