Message  I’ve noticed the past few days I’ve been here, that hardly anyone comments on my work, and even the work I’ve read. It’s not like my ratio is bad. In fact, I’ve received 3 comments total (that’s on 2 poems), but I’ve commented and critiqued 14 other pieces.

so my question is, how do you get people to read your work and comment? This site just seems a bit slow... how many members are actually here?

Message  Go to some of the more established writers on the site (check the sign-up date). Those writers will usually reciprocate if you comment on their pieces.

You might also look at your work. I haven’t read anything you’ve written, but it could be that what you’ve written does not inspire comments. I find that often. The writing is very simple or confused or the pieces are just poorly written. As I said, I haven’t read yours at all, so I’m not saying that describes your writing, but it’s something too look at. mae
