 Topic  getting views
Message  How do you go about getting your poems viewed multiple times? I have seen people’s work being viewed over a hundred times and I would like to know how that’s done. Thanks,

Rick

Message  When I first came to the site, it was pretty good at reciprocating. That is to say if I made a comment, then I got a comment (Not shit ones either). However this mutually advantagous existence has petered out a great deal and the ratio for comments given/recieved has tipped heavily against. Even critiques from someone who just happened to read it where quite good (compared to other sites), but again regretfully that is also a less frequent occurance. Granted I’ve not been on the site as much lately, so maybe that is partly my fault as you tend to get buried if you don’t stay active. Also alot of the users who did offer good critiques have abandoned this site for whatever reason. Anyway enough of this aimless wittering. The only advice I can give you is to leave as good a critique as you can, as often as you can and I’m sure you’ll get some returns.

Message  Oh, thanks. I guess I’m just not getting the reads lol. Many of my pieces have big ole zeros beside them. Patients is a virtue. Good things come to those who wait... Hmm are there any other corny sayings I can come up with?

Message  It counts how many IP addresses visit a certain link. . . People don’t have to read the poem to view it, just click it. Over a period of time when a poem has been on the site long enough, it could accumulate a couple hundred views. But views are just that, views, not reads. Views don’t mean anything special to me. I only count the number of comments for how many people actually bothered to read it (because it’s probably more accurate).
