 Topic  totally ?
Message  Do you find it hard to read other’s poetry without taking a piece of their style for use on your next piece? Being that every person is really just all of the people that had an influence on them, for good or ill, is it possible that every poet is both completely original &[by the same token] completely dependent on other’s work?

Message  I personally never took an inch of others style even though I CAN find some resemblance between my work and the work of some of the other people here who write in the same genre as I do. Also, I personally never even read some of the other poetry from the published authors so I cannot say I have an "idol". I roam MY OWN mind not the minds of others and I DO think it’s not good to be dependable on other people’s work. That’s why it’s art because it should be individual. I am often inspired by music but if I feel that I could be "plagiarising" someone then I take a moment, breathe in to consider it and then proceed to change my direction.
