| User | Drayke | | Topic | POETRY.COM!!!! | | Message | Omg, when i read on this site that ppl are tryin to shut down the site...i tripped out, i cudnt give a shit, id rather let them send letters to my house, im not gunna pay them nothing, theyre paying for the bloody postage. but 4 YEARS of my life is on there, i only wish i had sound this site earlier, i didnt care about the letters or emails...i jus care about the poems, theres so many ppl that still use that site, i mean its easy, and it DOES get ur poems mublished,(in a way) they do end up on the internet, with your name under it, u just cant get feedback, but i have 25 poems on that site, and several under different names than my own...so please, if u shut down that site, let me take them off the site, so i can put them on here, for ppl to respect...please, 4 years of feelings are on that site, the first poem i ever wrote is on there...i could care less about a scam, just dont shut it down...let those fools pay them money if they want...we all make our mistakes, but i need 2 get those poems onto this site, and fast...help me? |

I hope you will copy the stuff onto paper at least, if you don’t have it backed up onto your hard drive or burned onto CD’s. That goes for members here too. You should never count on a website to keep your stuff safe. You are just one hard drive crash away from never seeing it again. I know comments have been lost here before. |

They offer some free stuff (rhyming dictionary, etc.) that I also like to use. It seems to me that I’m taking advantage of them more than they are of me if I don’t pay them anything. mae |

I sometimes post there to get the copyright, but I keep a backup of everything on disk. Just paste the pieces to MS word or notebook and save them to your computer. For 25 poems, it should take about 10-15 minutes tops.
