Message  Phoenix - Yeah... I’ve watched the Japanese versions of the Ring and the Grudge. I liked the Japanese version of the Ring better ’cause the US version was too glamorized it lost its flair. It had to struggle to give the plot a stable footing but the Japs didn’t have to do that ‘cause Asians are mainly superstitious XD. It is easier for us to accept psychics and killer videotapes. The Hollywood sequel didn’t sell here as much as it did in the West either ‘cause most of the people here thought that it was so “clean” it was finite.

Yeah… and the Jap’s well girl… Sadako was way creepier… her story was more obscure and her nails were worse.

As for the Grudge… they both had messy plots. Even the Japanese sequel was chaotic. But, I don’t think it was meant to be concrete… they were just going for the screams. The writers simply made what they needed to get them. Still, it was a bit disturbing.

There is also this other Asian flick “The Eye.” The sounds were kinda creepy and there were a few hair-raisers.

Message  You guys are weird. The GRUDGE? The Ring?

The Grudge was the stupidest horror movie I ever saw, sorry. It wasn’t scary and Sarah’s acting abilities sucked major ass in that video. The whole thing was pointless and had no plot.

The Ring was okay, but not that scary. Much better than The Grudge.

I fairly liked Texas Chainsaw Massacre. Man that dude was a NUT. And it was pretty cool how that girl shot herself in the mouth, and I seriously loved how all the characters were related. Yeah. Cool and scary movie. Go watchh it.

Message  i dont like any newer horror movies... they all hvae that shaky girl thing going on, or some stupid character like the tooth fairy... they keep you more scared with the music and suspense... what happened to the gore??? what happened to humans being crossbred with insects? a horror movie where at least 10 people die? nuclear disasters that created mutants? teenagers that cant act? i’m sorry, but horror movies anymore are overdramatic and piss me off... i’ll stick to the classics

Message  I didn’t see the exorcist until the "Version We’d Never Seen Before" or whatever came out(I think I was 17), and I’m not Catholic, or really religious for that matter, and it still scared the crap out of me. Well, maybe not scared as much as "got to me". Any way, I recently saw this Chinese (???) movie called "The Eye" about a blind woman who sees, gasp, Dead People. I know, sounds stupid, but it was a pretty good movie, if you don’t mind subtitles. Oh, and when I was Thailand I saw one called "The Mother". Holy crap. That one made the Ring look like Barney’s Big Adventure (actually, that WAS kind of scary. NOT that I ever saw that, I mean the idea of it was...scary...yeah, anyway...) Original Texas Chainsaw, yeah, remake...Huh, Jessica Beal, in a cowboy hat, tank top, and covered in blood? Oh wait, I wasn’t paying attention...
One of my favorite horror movies, not really scary anymore, its really dated, but I really like it, is the original Hellraiser. "We will tear your soul APART!!!" That’s the best.
