Message	You guys are limited in your understanding of the ’you made your bed, now lie in it’ axiom. You have to go back in history before they had kingsize, pillowtop, plush mattressed beds. Back when these sorts of sayings started, mattresses were stuffed with straw usually, perhaps feathers if you were wealthy. You made your own mattresses - you didn’t just go down to the local Sleep Country USA and buy a mattress. You ’made your bed’ and no matter what kind of job you did you had to ’lie in it’. If you did a poor job, it was uncomfortable. Get it? mae

Message	i never really understood the ’make your bed, now lie in it’ thing, i’m just going to get back in it in a few more hours, why the hell do i have to make it? yeah, i know i totally missed the whole point of it, but it sure pissed my mom off. ^^;

Message	Wow, that is mean. Blee, I think your mom is saying that you made the mess now live with it. I heard crazy things from mom often, and to be honest, I’ve heard both stupid things you ladies mentioned. The most stupid thing I can remeber was "I’ll knock to kingdom come". I just undertood it to mean my whooping was going to be hell! She did put the fear of God in me though. Maggie
