my Father left when i was about a year old. now, 33 years later, i found him on the internet. my mother had me believing that he had died. i finally got to hear his side of the divorce and now i call him every night and we talk for, like an hour at a time! he says he’s going to move to where i live and i am just sooo happy!! Hooray for Daddies!!!! |

I know you have a ’rocky’ relationship with your mother, so the natural tendency will be to have expectations of a really wonderful relationship with your dad.
