If you’re a musician, how do you justify making bad music? How do you back up your terrible lyrics? Your boring and predictable breakdowns? How do you do it? For real, i wanna know. It just irritates me that there is so much bad music out there. & what’s worse is that there are people that swallow it whole. They love it, the purchase it, they encourage it. GRR.

2) The main comment about ppl making shitty music. You pretty much hit the nail on the head when you said everyone has different taste. No one feels like they are making shitty music. Music is just like art. IT is all in accordence with what the artists vision is. The great thing is that, we as listeners, can choose what we want to subject our ears to. Whether it be a new song that is set up just like last years great pop song, or something ultra progressive that never looks the same way twice. There is room for those two and everything else inbetween in the world of music.

to tell someone that the music they like is bad and shitty, that they should listen to what you think is good is basically like telling them to be something else. live up to standards that you set.
there is music out there that i think isn’t good, does that give me the sole right to go into the street and scream that it’s horrible and should be wiped from the face of the earth?? no. does it give me the right to tell those who happen to enjoy it that they’re wrong and should listen to what i think is best? no. i have more respect for individuality than that.
i don’t mind the "you sucks" stating your opinion is a right everyone is entitled to, but when stating your opinion becomes violent and you start to judge others based on their taste in music, when you begin trying to force people into being and liking what you want, then that is where i will draw the line.
so say it sucks. it’s okay. i think under the influence of giants sucks.
i don’t think they deserve to die though.

Otherwise, it’s pretty much a matter of opinion. i’m not a big fan of most of the new music they have today; although I just listened to Lindsey Lohan’s album, ’Speak’, and I must say I was surprised. The music has originality, a nice melody and a great beat. Her voice is relatively simple, and she is not exactly a professional singer, but dang, she does a good job! The only other music I like is, let’s see...A few classics by Van Morrison, Glen Campbell, anything and everything by Nora Jones....that’s about it. Oh yeah, and Elton John, how could I forget him....ever hear that song ’Hazard’ about the river in Nebraska.... |

I mentioned in up there, that Atreyu sucks. Let me explain myself.
First of all, I liked Atreyu a few years back. They just released their first album and i really liked it. At the time, what they were doing wasn’t "new" but it showed potential. They, as a band showed this amazing potential. They were great live. It was nice to see. Then they released their second album. I felt like i had been burned. It was such a disappointment. They weren’t branching out, they were playing it safe. They had the formula down. They new what would sell, what would attract new, younger fans. And what do you know, they got them. Must be like playing a game of Jacks for them. Scoop, the 15 year-olds went right into their gloved hands. To top the tops, their latest album is just dribble. They aren’t even trying. How is this acceptable? I would love to ask them, personally. I would love to know the reason they seem to be so scared of trying something new.
One could argue they are trying to see to a certain market. Alright, fine, lets go there.
This Market, this SCENE, it will end. Like everything else, somthing will become cooler. It’s just how it works folks. So they are not musicians as much as they are just body parts to a scene of music. It makes me sad. Saying they suck was on my part wrong, but i feel let down.
& the pink spiders?! cricket, somebody tell me that they are a spoof. The Snakes on a Plane of music. Because then i wouldn’t be having this heart attack.
I would love to have a sit down with some of these people.
I would love to know their influences and their reasons.

Or Manson, manson isn’t bad his music isn’t terrile, I like "Beautiful People" and he did a pretty good cover of "Sweet Dreams" but he started up for all the wrong reasons. Everyone else I listed are completely talentless freaks who suck and are just in it because their sad little fasion whores who can’t sing or write for themselves. (the ones that actually do sing their own stuff w/o editing just suck and desperatly need training, and a better sence of taste. Manson and 30STM are not bad but I lost alot of respect for them as musitions because one changed to fit in and the other started for the wrong reasons.
I honestly can’t bare to sit and listen to Guys in their late 30’s that sound like they havn’t hit puberty (Almost all new punk) Little chomos who can’t handle life and like to bitch about how much it suchs (All EMO) And over sexed assholes with alot of money (Almost all rap hip-hop and some r&b) I myself am a Hard Rocker/ Metal head. and their is crap spewing from the music I like too. But I think in every genre if you look hard enough you can find artists who are artists, not money grubbing bitches. I like Industrial. Techno. Goth Instrumental, Hard Rock, and Good Old Metal.
(The Purehands. Orbital. Appocalyptica. A Perfect Circle. Metallica, spineshank, system of a down) these guys rock, and they rock hard.. because they do it because it’s their medium in which they express themselves and they do it very well and make it their own... Point is where ever you look your gonna find Crap... Like Creed...... But thats an inevitability. Just gotta be an individual and look for the good stuff...
