 Topic  Poetic Wallpaper
Message  I am trying to make my room more of...well my own. So me and my sister have begun this project type thing where we group together some of our favorite quotes and poetry from ourselves and other people and then we put it on a piece of paper and tape it to my wall, so my question is, anyone have anything worth putting up? Something that makes people think or is just plain inspirtational. Thanks.

Message  You’re invited to look over my account poetry here if you want and use any of that you find interesting. Other than that, I’m a very big fan of Czeslaw Milosz.

In Black Despair

In grayish doubt and black despair,
I drafted hymns to the earth and the air,
Pretending to joy, although I lacked it.
The age had made lament redundant.
So here’s the question--
Who can answer it?
Was he a brave man or a hypocrite?

A little profound. That’s just one of his short ones. His best ones were the longer ones which had to do heavily with WWII.

Message  try Robert Frost’s the Road Not Taken, Longfellow’s The Beleaguered City, and Poe’s The Raven. These are my favourite three poems =D
If you want inspirational quotes, Ralph Waldo Emerson has tonnes of them

 Subject  sex blood love pain
 Message  sex, blood, love, pain
-------------------------------------------

sex, blood, love, pain
tell me it’s not all the same?
a touch of eroticy
a glimpse of electricity
as it all flows
through insatianibally

a drip of life
giving birth to love
through the painful
pleasure in sex and lust

feel so tainted
feel so used
feel so wonderful
with this "abuse"

this dark security
master or slave?
SHUT THE FUCK UP!!!
I’ve more to say!

sex, blood, love, pain
I just need to feel again!
a bite of the lip
with shuttered eyes
this stringent orgasm
just in my mind?

I can practically feel you
within my little soul
the breath of your body
the touch is so cold

let me be
your one true love
when
sex, blood, and pain
just isn’t enough!

I’ll let you bleed me
from the inside/out
as you fuck me
we’ll scream and shout
the pleasure of this pain
makes me want to love again

sex, blood, love, pain
to me it’s just all the same!

 Message  Wow, I can’t believe you aren’t getting much feedback on this....I’d hate to generalize but a lot of the quotes/writing I like tends to be emoish or somewhat "dark/gothic"; would you at all be into anything like that? I go on a few random sites and stuff for that kinda thing;
http://www.rosedreams.net/

-probably one of the best, if you like that one I can send you a few more? :)

 Subject  Like You
Message  What kind you looking for, funny, "emo", meaningful? I got nearly 200 writes, and at least 10% decent, so what you need, I’ll see if I can’t help hook it up, for now I’ll give you my personal fav.

-------------------------------------------

i can be beautiful
i can be wonderful
i can be special?...
just like You?

...but i’m stupid!
and oh so ugly
so pathetic and; naive
a nothing,
something bothersome
filled with troubles
corroted by deceit

i can be so smart
i can have my dreams
i can be something;
if i believe !?
if i try hard
and still i fail
will you still
...tell those lies to me!?

...cause i’m stupid!
and oh so ugly
so pathetic and; naive
nothing,
more than bothersome
filled with troubles
corroted by deceit

you’re so beautiful!
so precious to the touch
amazingly wonderful,
how can this be such?
so special
believing in your dreams
so smart, your something
but than there’s me...

i’m stupid
i’m ugly,
i’m wasting your time;
i’m irresponsible
troubled inside
abanodoned/destroyed by my own mind

I just want to be beautiful!
just want to have my dreams
to be somthing; just like you

want to be smart, yearn to be brave
to...be..something just..like...you
LIIIIIIIIIIIIIKE...YOUUUU!!!

Message  This is one my favorite poems. Jane Kenyon died about 1995 (cancer), but her work is wonderful:

"Let Evening Come"
Jane Kenyon

Let the light of late afternoon
shine through chinks in the barn, moving
up the bales as the sun moves down.

Let the cricket take up chafing
as a woman takes up her needles
and her yarn. Let evening come.

Let dew collect on the hoe abandoned
in long grass. Let the stars appear
and the moon disclose her silver horn.

Let the fox go back to its sandy den.
Let the wind die down. Let the shed
go black inside. Let evening come.

To the bottle in the ditch, to the scoop
in the oats, to air in the lung
let evening come.

Let it come, as it will, and don’t
be afraid. God does not leave us
comfortless, so let evening come.
