 Topic  Why College?
Message  I am doing a report, and I need to interview three people who have graduated college on why they went to college. Naturally, I turn to trusty ol’ ES, lmao. If anyone has graduated from college - for ANYTHING, seriously, I need samplings from different careers, hopefully - than I would be much obliged if you could help me out.

Here’s the form:

1. Why People go to College

A.Identify three adults who attended and graduated from college. Pick individuals from different career fields. You are asked to identify their careers. (You cannot use three teachers.) Ask them why they decided to go to college, and write their reasons in the space provided. Then choose which category(ies) their reason(s) seem to fit. Note: Be sure that the reasons you check match what is indicated in your narrative.

Individual # 1 Career Field:

I chose to go to college because:

The reason or reasons described by Individual #1 best fit the following categories (check all that apply):

[]Career preparation

[]Continuing education

[]Increased earning power

[]Extracurricular activities and social life

[]Family influence

[]Achieving a personal goal

[]Gaining knowledge and wisdom

Message  I went back to college in ’03 because a) my boss was nagging everyone in our group to, b) my brother was negging me to and c) my wife was nagging me to.

Oh yeah, there’s that knowledge & wisdom thing, too...

Message  the pursuit of knowledge is held in the highest regard. I suppose college encourages that more than school does anyway =)

Message  Thank you very much! I’ve already got two now . . . just one more :D And you’re right about that, too. Ever since I was little it was already assumed that I was to go to college - there was never really any choice. On the other hand, I have always had a passion for biology - I love to study and given half a chance I would never turn down an opportunity like that. I have always been fascinated with knowledge and wisdom. Anyways, thank you for the help, I really do appreciate it.
