| User | Writer Chic | | Topic | Being Bad | | Message | Could anyone ever be bad and never really know or realise it? It’s always puzzled me. People do things....what is it in their mind that justifies it as either wrong or right? All those evil villians, theives and liers...is it their fault? do they choose to be bad or is it their naure to be like that?
Coz they could be doing things like that and never know that they’re hurting people? So is it possible for you to be bad without knowing it? |

I’m not so sure about the whole genes thing though (or maybe I’m just hoping). Does it mean that if your parent was a serial killer than you are going to be one too? I guess you’re probably more likely to than someone whos parent was say a doctor or something else. And even if people do have this evil in them it doesn’t mean that they’re going to use it or act on it. I believe that Writer Chic has a good point. Who did decide this? ha Maybe there’s some alternate universe where what we consider to be bad is good and what we consider to be good is bad. You never know. Which also makes me wonder...who decided what words were going to mean what? Who decided that bad means bad or that word was going to used to refer to all of the words? Does this make any sense? Let me know...hehe |

I’m a little mad, I know I should act - but I don’t....I can be insainly nice, that needs to stop too, coz not everyone is gonna be a saint right back!

| User | misty_of_moon | 2007-09-25 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | This may be off topic a bit, but this looks like a good place to tell everyone about my ’theory’ of Evil and Insanity.
Level one: Normal Person, capable of Good and Evil and Craziness but not acting on much of it, Neutral
Level two: Insanity. A person who has lost some of their reasoning BUT DON’T KNOW THEY HAVE <--important
Level Three: Crazy. A person has lost ALL of their reasoning and sanity But still don’t know that they have.
Level Four: Madness. A person has lost alll their reasoning and insanity, know that they have and choose not to do anything about it, this is also Evil because one who knows that they are mad and don’t try to help themselves are allowing themselves to be swayed this way and that and as a result can do the most unspeakable evils but ALSO can do the most generous good. This is where the phrase ’ there’s a fine line between good and evil’ comes into play. They are mad, they know it and they don’t care. Truly evil people are mad, totally and utterly mad and the important part is that they KNOW THAT THEY ARE! It can be argued that people who are wholly good and saintly are mad.
Now please, this is just one persons ’theory’ . Don’t beat me up after school >.< |

The studies could be wrong too, i suppose Azuire. Some people have been said to have adapted these feelings and emotions and action from their surroundings.
And who said what we do is bad anyway? who decided that that’s bad and that that’s good?

| User | joeyalphabet | 2007-08-24 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Ah, the age-old argument of whether humans are innately evil or good... |
| User | Azuire | 2007-08-21 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | A man can be convinced he is doing evil for the sake of good. It’s most certain.
However recent studies have proven that nearly everything is linked to your genes (though I am skeptical of that, to what extent can a human being be programmed?). So eh.
About the not knowing if they hurt someone, well, that’s far too common. |
