here I am. You wanted a pro? Well......
Hey! (ducking tomatoes and other rotten fruit being thrown at me by other jealous writers!) mae |
| User | mae | 2005-01-05 | | | Subject | Well, Kristina, | | Message | |
| User | eener | 2004-12-02 | | | Subject | typo | | Message | woops, he is eyretp, not ereypt. Sorry about my moment of dumbness. |
| User | eener | 2004-12-02 | | | Subject | deserves mention: | | Message | I love to read what Denim posts. His pieces are very thought provoking and insightful. He also says very profound things in as little wording as possible, and he dares to say what others (who might think the same) dare not (or at least that’s what I think).
I also love ereypt’s work, as well. He uses the English language in such an rare, elegant way that leaves me in awe after every piece. His subjects for his pieces are very unique, and his rhymes are beautiful, and not your usual rhyme. Reading his posts always leaves me pondering a few minutes afterwards about the subject at hand of which he writes about.
These are the two that have struck me the deepest with their work on this site. Of course, there are many writers on here I’ve not read yet. |
| User | Learah | 2004-12-02 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Ange.... im sorry...
Will you fuckin post, already?? |
| User | angela~ | 2004-12-02 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Well, at least sharky mentioned me...*sniff.
kidding |
| User | Learah | 2004-12-02 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Aw Cat lady... you have your zany style too, yanno!
I like people for different reasons. I’ll start with Cat, I like her stuff because she’s told me some things about her life and there have been DARK days. But... whenever I read your work, it’s so optimistic, there’s always a "lightness", angels, happiness, hope, faith in the human to overcome.
Silverdog... she just has the most beautiful, eloquent words ever. Real magic, hidden inside.I always, always love it when she posts something new.
I like DanShilton because he has an odd outlook. It’s like... a black cynic hidden underneath, a realist, but one who chooses to make art from that and it comes out as beautiful and... there’s a finesse, he has. KrimsonReaper has the same. It’s a sort of... very deep, dark red rose aura, about those two.
Particularshard IS a total cynic and I love his raps, I love the fact that he’s intelligent to an astonishing degree and yet I never get a pomposity or arrogance from his work. He’s up high now, but he’s been to the lows and he never forgets it.
Storm of Bliss... is incredible. She has SUCH a talent... I can’t wait to watch her unfold her wings.
Awkward... wow. How do you describe him? It’s almost like he pulls a string of words through our ears and just places them on the page the way they come out. He respects us and doesn’t dumb down his poetry in order for us to understand it, but merely moulds it into a more recognisable form. And his limericks are just fucked up...
MyX... Feels to me like a true 21C poet. There’s nothing flowery or faffy about him, but still a very real, very sensitive soul that can see and is saddened by the sight of our world today. In all it’s screaming, thrashing techno-blue-sworn glory. The things of which he writes are REAL. There is a chubby fuck in the restaurant stuffing his face with grease on a stick, there ARE sluts on each corner ready to ride you and rob you, men do wake up with a roaring erection and an inability to string together the previous day’s thoughts until a set ritual has been through and the hard corners of reality have been worn off with coffee and cigarettes.
Sandburg... I don’t know what it is. He’s very smart, but his work is always written simply with an ultra deep meaning layered beneath gentle words. He writes of... unusual but everyday topics that give us a new perspective that we can relate to, all the same.
I feel bad listing names cos there are SO many other writers here who are amazing, those were just the first to jump to mind because those are the writers whose work I view most. I could not pick one single writer here who stands out above the rest because everyone is good in their own forte, everyone’s got their own shine, yanno?

| User | timberwolf720 | 2004-11-30 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I’m touched that my name was included with some of the elite greats that you listed. Thank you! Wish I were really as good as you guys. I’ll try to live up! |
| User | mae | 2004-11-29 | | | Subject | a pro? | | Message | Well, I am certainly flattered to be considered a pro! Thank you very much, Kristina. mae |
| User | magnicat | 2004-11-25 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | *blush* Kristina and Learah, you both made me smile when i read this. Kristina, i wish you hadn’t deleted all your work so i could read more, but i’ve been known to do that myself!!! Learah, i think you are an exceptional writer, of both stories and poems. i admire your gift for story writing, which i cannot do. the way you look at things is so unique. also add to my list Cuddledumplin, Silverdog and angela~. i’ve also been enjoying infernal rose. he’s got some really cool mystical, ethereal type writings. they are some of them dark, but they are very well written. |
| User | MyX | 2004-11-23 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | me too hehe.
You should know better by now.
MyX |
| User | Learah | 2004-11-22 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Heyy I was kidding! Chill out, FFS. |
| User | MyX | 2004-11-21 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Learah. You piss me off.
No.
Not because you didn’t put me first in your little list, but because you said that not only would I be childish enough complain about not being first, but the implying that I would ever hold myself above another user here as something better....
YEAH, i have the fucking award...but it never got to my head.,
I’m proud of it, but I do not think I’m the best on the site....in fact I believe all poets are equal...some of us like one kind of poetry, others like others....
By the way...did you get off last night? I’m too drunk to remember.
MyX |
| User | Kristina9178 | 2004-11-20 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Yeah, we can’t forget the Prez...though he’s not around much these days.
Lub him anyway=) |
| User | eener | 2004-11-19 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | nobody’s mentioned Eggman yet. I think he should be added. I’ve not read much of his stories, but his poetry is pretty good. |
| User | Learah | 2004-11-19 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Aw Sharky I’m sorrreeeeee!!!!!!!!!
I could do with some of these HoHo’s... I need to get some jollies. |
| User | Kristina9178 | 2004-11-18 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | You are out of control, ya know that! Sharky will never be completely gone...lol...thanks for setting up the hotline there, system.
lub always,
Half a Ho-Ho |
| User | Learah | 2004-11-17 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I LOVE Silverdog’s writing, I really, really do. But she’s very pushed for time lately, and doesn’t get the chance to post much. That’s a terrible pity.
My favourite writers... would be (in no order, just on a first to mind basis) Magnicat, Awkward, DanShilton, Particularshard, I found a n00b called Storm Of Bliss who’s got great promise and I was reading and commenting on almost everything she started with but she never once even said a "thank you", so sod her, the rude little madam. Ehm, who else... Crash is good but I’ve just not been around his stuff much. Ehm... Sandburg, of course, KrimsonReaper was always a great poet but he doesn’t post much now... FallenGrace is very gifted... MYX (he’ll kill me for not listing him first LOL!), but no, Awkward and Magnicat are the two I always rush to read when there’s new posts. I like Cat’s grip on her life and her refusal to stay bowed for long. And Awkward’s just crazy, breaking every single rule in the book and doing it brilliantly. |
