Message  Crude comments; people replying to a comment of yours that they didn’t like by giving you a rude, angry comment of their own; short, discouraging comments from people you don;t know who just say that they didn’t like your submission and not giving any support or suggestions; obscenity, insults, and heated arguments in the forum. These are the fruits of rude, angry people butting heads or bugging people on ES. I myself have been guilty of giving comments that were way to critical and possibly stung someone, and getting P.Oed over some jerk’s blast off on a forum topic; it’s very easy to get angry when people don’t agree with you, even your friends. But we all have to remember that their are reasons why we have different opinions; we grow up in different places, around different people, maybe some are misinformed, and some of us just think differently. We need to respect other people and therefore their opinions. I’m not saying you shouldn’t tell someone like it is if they’re being obnoxious and crass; but, and I never thought I’d say this, can’t we all just get along?
We all make typos that make it look like we’re saying something that we didn’t mean, or say something stupid or mean when we’re tired or cranky, so we have to be more patient and considerate of each other.

Now everybody argue about what I said.

Message  *claps wildly* lol I admit, I am not the poster-child for diligence but I make it a habit to reply when I recieve a comment and then to offer my critique of one of their pieces in return. It’s a good system, it keeps me in the positive with the whole recieved-minus-given comment ratio thingie - not to mention I tend to get curious/nosey when I see someone fairly inteligent in the rpgs or forums and so I check their profiles . . . and that usually leads to them recieving a comment or two . . . sometimes three . . . well, it depends on my mood, anyways - lmao

Message  Well said, I’ve made plenty of Critiques that weren’t blowing sunshine up the writers arse that weren’t acknowledged, which is just bloody rude, if you don’t like a comment you could at least argue the point and show you’ve acknowledged somebodys time to comment. I’ve not had a shitty reply...yet, but this is a critique site if you can’t take it, don’t post it.

Message  I do admit to being a little hot-tempered everyonce in a while, but at least I don’t rise to petty bait, and when I critique I am serious about it - I never do it for revenge. I do think ES is going downhill, though. I’ve been close to leaving on serveral accounts of jerks getting angry because I wasn’t all raving compliments about their work, or because I disagreed with something they said in the forum . . . Sometimes I wonder if there people aren’t LOOKING for a fight, lol.
