| User | DarkenedSoul | | Topic | Nature | | Message | What fact of nature do you find fascinating.I often wonder about gases produced naturally and by people; I thought that if we breath oxygen and plants breath carbon dioxide then something must use carbon monoxide as well.Recently I found out that an occurance known as a white-out (a long sheet of white upon the oceans surface) was caused by bacteria that "breathed" carbon monoxide thus answering my question. What obscure facts do you know? |

Stop that. It isn’t funny and it certainly isn’t intelligent. Grow up and quit saying dumb things like that. mae |

What in the world does the government have to do with it? mae |
| User | kite martyr | 2005-11-09 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | true, we are really small in the universe that we think we have so much control over, dam, does this make the government hypocrites?

| User | kanu | 2005-11-08 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | THe more you look closely at the world the more it becomes apparent that there is some intelligence behind the creation.
There was one incident where two scientists, an atheist and a theist, were together. The theist had just created a marvelous revolving model of the universe with spinning planets in their orbits and everything. The atheist asked who made the model and the theist said it just appeared out of the blue, a freak of nature. Of course the theist was playing with him. The point is that the atheist couldn’t accept that a model of the universe was made by no one while he had strong beliefs that the actual universe wasn’t directed by intelligence.
Why is oxegyn here and not there - to give facility for your existence. THere are inumerable living conditions everywhere for the innumerable living entities all over the universe to express their innumerable desires.
The whole thing seems really precarious, and even though we do our best to mess it up in our ignorance we are actually the small fries in this world with a false sense of self importance |
| User | kite martyr | 2005-11-08 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | i find space fascinating, think about it. so many miles and so much space we may never cover because technollogy isnt advanced enough. but, i ask this in hopes of getting a good answer: why is it that there is no oxygen in space, but there just happens to be more than enough for the people of earth? WTF? is it just a weird coincidence? or is it more than that? I dont know, but maybe with some help I’ll understand it. SD,Kanu, poeticprincess, wolfstar, i expect to hear many good points on this from you all, seeing as how your all so accomplished. with all respect meant.
and SD, seriously, sex is fascinating, i must agree, but the consequences can be a bi*** if your not prepared. always remember: wrap it in foil before you check her oil. haha |
| User | WolfStar | 2005-11-05 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | i would only realistically hope for something that could conceivably happen.
hoping for men in general to be responsible is asking too much from a gender group that wants control without the hinderance of duty or responsibility. |
| User | kanu | 2005-11-05 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I sincerely hope SD finds the natural consequence of sex also fascinating - namely the art of being a dutiful spouse and responsible child raising -lol |

| User | smartblond | 2005-11-04 | | | Subject | Nature | | Message | A while ago fisher men were trying to get rid of starfish. So when they found them they cut them in two and throw them back in the water. Starfish if cut in two or more pieces can regerate and grow back the part of the body they are missing so instead of getting rid of starfish they were doubling their population. |
| User | smartblond | 2005-11-04 | | | Subject | Nature | | Message | I find nature astounding. How everything can be all right one minute and then the earth plates move and an earthquake can destrory an entire city in less than twenty minutes.

| User | kanu | 2005-10-23 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Recently I saw a frog run on its back legs. I swear I am not making this up. A snake crawled in to a garden and this frog ran out on his back legs. It was difficult for him to navigate his direction, but he was running pretty fast. He would fall flat on his face all the time and then he would leap about two feet and start running when he hit the ground. It was like he didn’t know where he was going but wanted to get there real fast. |

animals have a sixth sense when it comes to things like that. they are very in tune to the universe and nature. when an earthquake is about to hit, dogs and cats get really squirrely (no, LIB, they don’t turn into squirrels...). |
