Message	No, I do not agree with that statement. A person can be held reasponsible for it, it’s not tuerettes. I’m not disputing whether or not they’re reasponsible for the urge, itch, or whatever you want to call it. Can shrinks help, maybe, I’m not at liberty to argue that. I do not feel that it is a mental disorder, massochism is, and cutting does techinacally qualify as self-mutilation which is consitant with massochism. But massochism is an obsessive-compulsive paraphillia(fetish) in which the recipient actaully enjoys the pain, where as many cutters don’t do it becasue it brings pleasure, but becasue it’s an addiction that they feel relieves tension, the closely tied, they are still fairly disimilar.

Message	Well obviously it doesn’t matter what level of intelligence you have. Can anyone agree that cutting is a mental disorder that many people have? It is a way to relieve the hurt from the problems they feel inside. I don’t think it is "right", but can it really be judged by moral standards when people cannot really be held fully responsible for it? And PS (way up to Outlaw’s long comment) you cannot say it is the only solution...a person might be unwilling to get help or tell anyone, but that is never the only solution. Psycologists, for one thing, treat mental states like this.

Message	Damn, I see I missed some shyt. Outlaw, you said grades don’t qualify you to be smart or not, fine; but what does? Shyting your pants becasue you think going to the bathroom is a waste of time(like Einstein) cause if so my son’s a fucking genuis. I can’t say I agree with your hero staitmen. And mommyswrath if first off if you’vbe never done it, who are you to judge, or say what it does or doesn’t do? People smoke, drink, so drugs to relieve frustration too, and you’re right to an extent it is an exscuse. But not usually at first, but as with any addiction the individual will rationalize it to themselves in any sort of way they can. And why some do admittably do it for attention, there are many who don’t. Secondly most of the cutters I have known/know are massochists as well so they do punch walls, etc. and I can say from experience becasue I use to judge it thinking I knew all about it, that you can’t understand it unless you’ve been there, which granted I wouldn’t recomend. Lastly that suicide was a dick thing to say. Many people who use drugs, or cut are only trying to be "normal" or feal like it anyways, and if not for it they’d likely be dead. It’s a big misconception people think that people cut or use becasue they want to die, when in reality many do it becasue they are doing what it takes to stay alive!

Message	Cutting is stupid in all its self. I agree with you. People say its a way of letting out frustration, thats fucking bullshit. Its just an excuse. You could very well scream your goddamn lungs out and then have release in that. Or punch a pillow, wall, or something. masterbation is there too mother fuckers, ESPECIALLY THOSE WHO SAY CUTTING IS GOOD OR SOMETHING! Theres more than one way of releaving yourself of stress. It may not be stupid, but in my opinion its a way to get attention. I’ve never done it before, nor will i ever, but those who cut may find themself at a loss of blood and possible brain cells. I dont know, i’m only 14. I’ll look it up here in a fucking second to see if loss of blood can lead to loss of brain cells to see if this actually makes sense. To sum it all up for me, Cutting is pointless. I never mentioned the fact that it might actually add stress, because of panicing from the blood. It is NOT a good way to get rid of stress, hurting yourself doesent work. WIth all the cutting you do, you might have alot of stress. Why not just jump off a building into a large tank of nails and needles? That ought to cut and puncture you enough to get rid of the stress, right? ~Mowsy

Message	First off. I can say that school grading does not qualify people as smart or not. Look at Einstein who dropped out, or Hitler. Both critically claimed ot be morons in high school, one came out to be THE smartest, the other just happened to be a maniac. Anyhow, I used to cut. Deep and long. I can say that, to me then and there it had a purpose, it took my frustration away. But, after falling unconscious in class because playing football ealier had opened up a few of the cuts again, and facing the reality of my friends it really hit me. Now, I’m not a smart child, nor am I a "special" one, but I shure (yes shure is my word so bug off) as HELL am informed. Self-mutilation is the light, for those few heros, when there is nobody left around to clap.
