Message	Wolf, you’ve made a very excellent point. Sitting here thinking about it, I’ve done exactly that thing. I’ve called my husband from the grocery store to see if he wanted a substitute of something they were out of. Damn. But on the other hand I do like having my cell phone with me in case one of my children’s schools call for an emergency, if my car breaks down in the middle of no where (it’s happened) or the one really idiotic time I locked myself out of my house and had to call my best friend who has my spare key. Maybe the problem is we over use them. It drives me nuts to see someone in a restaraunt talking on the phone. Like you can’t put the damn thing down for a half an hour to eat? Or I have seen women coming out of the bathroom stall with the phone to her ear..yick. *onetruesmartass*

Message	Well we all survived in the thousands of years before them. The only difference is that now people can’t really function without them. I heard someone at the grocery store call her husband/boyfriend/whatever on her cell phone, saying, "They don’t have the green kind you like, only the blue...." Come on now. Back in the days of the pay phone you wouldn’t go out there just to tell your man that they’re out of the kind he likes. You make an executive decision. THINK FOR YOURSELF. He doesn’t like it? Then tough shit. He should have gone to the supermarket instead. Cell phones have, in a way, paralyzed us from doing even the simplest things ourselves. They have become a crutch rather than a convenience or emergency device.
