But more than vegie killing, what about those in pain? Some people are in so much pain, it’s not worth it to live. Rise and shine, pop a pain killer or two, and watch them shove needles in you. Should the doctors be able to relieve that person from their pain?

| User | Chell | 2006-02-26 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I don’t understand how we can put an animal to death, because they are going to die, and are suffering and we call it humane. But if it’s a human who’s life is ending, and they are in excruciating pain, we leave them to suffer and call it murder to help them die.
Why are we allowed to be humane to animals and not humane to humans?
If I knew that my good days were over, that every day was going be lived in extreme pain, and at great emotional and financial cost to my family, I’d beg for someone to be humane enough to help me go. I’m done. It’s the end for me. Let me call my family members together, hug them, kiss them, and drift off to whatever comes after.
Please, whatever you do, don’t leave me there suffering. Let me out of this shell. I’ve suffered enough... |
