What is the higher religious principle? I guess there are three options
Service to humanity is greater than service to god
Service to god is greater than service to humanity
Service to god and service to humanity are the same phenomena |

| User | mae | 2006-07-07 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Quite possibly, Joey, now that I read it again. I don’t know what my brain was seeing when I read that before. I think maybe I was viewing it in a less than spiritual way - not all service to humanity is done as a service to God. But, so what? That doesn’t make it any less true for that that IS done as a service to God. Just don’t know what I was thinking, exactly. mae |

Who really gets more business in your own neighborhood, the priests or the prostitutes? |
| User | mae | 2006-07-05 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I guess I don’t see them as separate items to be compared. One is part of the other. It would be like trying to compare apples in the pie to the pie. You wouldn’t have the pie without the apples. You wouldn’t have service to God without service to humanity. (Not saying worship, here, but service.) Although, I suppose people who are in service organizations or occupations but don’t worship God would disagree with that. mae |
