Topic	A ratings system?
Message	Hey, am I the only one who has parents reading over my shoulder who would ban me from this site if they saw some of the stuff I bump into? What do you think about Jimmy making a simple update that allows, or requires even, members to rate their own submissions on a scale from G to PG to PG-14 (thirteen can’t join, hehe) to R to even X? It would not restrict the writers in any way, but would rather act as a warning to system to someone looking to comment on somtehting decent.

Message that is so pathetic, it’d doing just that, it’d be supressing everyone, who are you to say that anyone of a certain age isn’t "ready" to know about something, if you’re parents are going to get mad at you then don’t make it worse for the rest of us just leave the site. (not trying to sound harsh but it’s not my problem if there are certain things YOU can’t or don’t want to see.) this site is just as much about freedom to read whatever you want as much as write it and that’s completely insulting, life isn’t censored, real ideas and real thoughts don’t come with censorship and you can’t control everything that goes on.

Message It will not give others more freedom! It’ll deliberately limit their viewing potential. I know I’ve read poems I thought would suck, and I was sadly mistaken, and I’ve also been told the same. You’re being prejudice to the write in itself. Sex pending on the writer can be the most beautiful and elegant thing, or brutal and devestaing; or a complexity of both(now there’s a challenge!) And to deliberately obstruct it from your viewing pleasure or dislike is obsurd! Writing is an art, ans as such is to be interpretated. Ie; I find the religious works on this site(usually)offensive and unrelentlessly engrossing, and as such should be stricken with an "R" rating, so that minds too young to think for themselves are not influenced by such diabolical corruption! But, can you even begin to tell me how offended and upset people would become at such a "proposterous" statement? Peoples beliefs are their own, let them be their own judge with each individual write. I don’t belive in censorship, cursing(that there’s such a thing it’s bs!) or many things which may be deemed "explicit" as wrong! But forcing those idea’s is, and implimenting a rating’s system would do just that(of course the other end of the spectrum)!

Message The whole idea of the ratings system is not to suppress anyone, but to simply communicate to others what kind of content is in the submission. You can still post whatever you want, but just give a heads up to others who don’t appreciate having obscenity and poetic nudity in their faces. It will actually give others more freedom!
