| Message | What is wrong with this picture is the same that was wrong 1840-1860. In discussing slavery, most people yakked about property rights and states’ rights. It too a Lincoln to say that it was a moral question. Today the major advisors in the administrations are neo-cons - members of the Project for the New American Century. Their guiding philosophy is: 1) As the sole superpower in the world, we should control the peace and the world, including its resources; adjudicate disputes; and maintain a Pax Americana. 2) Strengthen our military; and 3) ensure no power or combination of powers ever again rises to challenge our military superiority. This philosophy should be the center of debate - a very public debate! We must discuss whether this is what the people in this country want America to be in the future, what the costs are, and whether we’re willing to bear those costs.

| Message | As to democrats: All of the new faces in the legislature are MILLIONARES! THAT is the problem. One of class. They (the dems) only have a slightly different take on how to exploit the population then the republicans. Thinking of them as an alternitive is dangerously misguided.
As to America’s future? A nation of religous loons and illiterates by and large with NO real future. The empire is dying, folks! No saving it. My personal advice: LEARN CHINESE. |

This whole thing is utterly ridiculous to me. Now, I understand that my mere 30yrs on this earth I haven’t had much time to really study politics, and the 2004 election was honestly the first one I paid attention to, but has it always been this ludicris game of mud smearing and back biting? | Message | The country is very divided right now between liberal and conservative. There isn’t any reasonable dialogue between the two or any willingness to compromise, which is what democratic government is all about.
The neo-cons are pretty much out of juice in the Bush administration. He’s realized (a little late in the game) he needs a more practical and less ideological approach to things. |
