| User | DrkRomeo_sGirl | | Topic | Bikers | | Message | ok...... ive got a question. Do you think urban men (or women) can be bikers. Some ppl call the rich urbans posers because they have money.... and money ties them down and to be bikers.... money is not important..... freedom is. Do you think off road country men (or women) have the right to call them posers????? or are they the ones that are poser since they are the ones givin a damn (when there not suppose to have any cares like that)... what do you guys(or girls) think on this subject.
Im just curious.... |

This sounds like a brand new epithet. You may wish to copyright it before anyone else does. |

Feisty fuckers!!!

| User | Blue Monk | 2007-06-04 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | There are "bikers", and then there are "outlaws"/outlaw bikers. Bikers just wanna have fun. With outlaws it’s truly a lifestyle, usually with jail time and plenty of scars (not just tattoos) to prove it.
They are known by their "colors", their club patch. It’s like being "family". Hells Angels are definitely outlaws. I suppose there’s a list of outlaw clubs somewhere on the "net", it’s got everything else. |
| User | besodemuerte | 2007-06-04 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | i went to am-jam in syracuse in january (it’s like a biker tatto convention type thing) there were all kinds of people there... rich.. poor... whatever... we got snowed in... i hung out with some hells angels... i hung out with these kids that were homeless for years... i dont think anyone seemed like a poser... except maybe lizardman... i dont think i like him much... but if someone is going to take the time to buy a bike... keep up on maintenance... get thier motorcycle license... ride when it’s nice out... i think they like bikes... they like to ride... and i dont see what’s poser about doing what you want to do.... i jsut think people have a certain stereotype about what a biker is supposed to look like.. and when they see someone that doesnt fit into the mainstream they like to ostracize them and call them a poser... because that person wants everyone to know how much of a power they’re not... so they need to point that out... over and over again... |

"Posers" are not trying to be "outlaws", but are just having fun. There’s no way to mistake the two if you know anything at all. |

| User | Outlaw | 2007-05-27 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I think the idea of calling others posers came from jealousy... In this case you’d have the not so rich being jealous of the rich for being able to do what they cannot... But that’s just my take.. |
| User | Blue Monk | 2007-05-27 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I want a bike (again).
Although not really a factor in my case (my wife may read this) there is the added factor that a bike is a "babe magnet"!
But then, so is a corvette or any sports car falling beyond that particular standard.
But having lots of money seems to work also.

| User | Blue Monk | 2007-05-16 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | I’ve had a lot of bikes, but never leathers. "Bikers" might wear leather, but never leathers. That’s a racer (or rich guy) thing. Denim’s the thing, the more worn out and dirty the better, with "colors" if you’re in a club. Chains are good, as are oversized wallets with chains. This info may be dated, as am I. |

| User | silent_death12 | 2007-05-15 | | | Subject | untitled | | Message | Ron I won’t discuss this any further except to just go out on a limb and mention that that’s the point his son’s NOT a cause for your concern, because none of your concerns are valid.
I almost hate to satisfy you both so much (DQ and Ron), but I’d have to agree with everything Chell stated, this site is no longer what I expected...not forum nor the writing/commenting aspect of it. So there’s my stance, dk what i have or haven’t contributed to this site or anyone on it but well wishes to at least some of you. |
