Message	I have a confession, a few months ago I felt like giving ES up because of the crappy comments like "This was great! I loved it! Totally spoke to me! Please come by my page and view my stuff, it’d be great to here from you!" . To me, those aren’t comments, it’s just the less experienced members way of getting the more experienced members to view their stuff, making it appear to other members as though what they have is the new amazing shiznit on the site and needs to be viewed right away, which causes a common side effect: One pissed off me that has to put up with the idea that 3 of the 15 comments I get are basically attention seeking losers that think empty non-helping comments are fine with everyone. Whew. But for the record, ES is my poetry home, and I really do want to see this place come to life with the crazy ass random people that made it warm and welcoming. I always thought that some new blood would make this place better and more challenging, but all it’s really done is chased the beloved members away to other sites.

Message	MyX, I agree with your original sentiments about the population of this site. I too am disappointed. This is the first time I’ve been back to the forum in ages because of how this site has declined. If you find a place that has not been overrun by pedants and lemmings, let me know.

Message	It’s not hard to ignore people who don’t return comments (I barely remember what their names are even if I do go on their pages more often than not) and I don’t think that’s really a solution. I only write comments when I have something to say about the poem.... And often times I’ll write stuff, but if I see that I’m just turning in circles, not thinking about much or just typing... I tend to not commmment... I was amazed at myself when I first joined THIS site. I’m not much of an internet surfer beyond learning random things. Myspace, Youtube, Facebook? Some tag thing, Bibo... All those sites I avoid..... I even avoid most forum-related websites unless I’m looking for tech support. I joined this site with the initial intention of teaching a friend how to write proper english, to help him with his stories and what not. (Not assuming I am good at either)... A few things kept me here: Alia, Tom(knowledge)... And Origami... Why? I enjoyed reading some of their poetry, and above all Tom helped me out incredibly with my own. He taught me how to trim the tree when I write my poetry.... Showed me different styles, and challenges.... Of late the only thing that keeps me coming back is the infernal forum. NOTHING else on this site seems useful anymore.

Message	So...what we need. Are some virgin hackers, some professional funyun throwers and a fat cannibal guy that feasts only on angsty flesh. Or we can all just start giving a damn about each other. And challenging one another to write something worth reading. If someone doesn’t thank you for a comment...ignore them for life...they will disappear on their own. Even if there are only 25 of us...the site can still rock (for us) MyX

Message	yep... i miss the old elite... i left cause i got a little bored and worn out with it here... and because i became even more of a raging alcoholic and completely quit writing for a while.... i came back because this place always gives me inspiration... more than most sites ive been too... and because there are a certain few people around here that arent afraid to tell you when you write something that totally sucks... and i really appreciate that... but.. this place still needs a good kick in the ass...

Message	I’ve had an account on WC for a few months now, but it wasn’t the same as ES so I stopped doing it. Mainly because I couldn’t find my way around the site and because the member’s there were assholes and bitches. I do wish this place would get back on it’s feet. I remember the first time I came here, it was great! The people, the poetry, it was so good. And random. But now it’s like everyone has passed away or something. It’s like, the people who made this site so amazing, are gone, and the selfish jerks are taking over. MyX is right, there’s too many teenagers looking for attention instead of trying to improve their writing skills. Sad. But maybe it’ll give the old lively members a fire in the spirit to come back. We can hope for the moon, can’t we?

Subject	Why I joined WC
Message	Hello! I’ve been on vacation this week and totally missed all of this until Deluka pointed it out to me. The reason I "joined" WC was because I didn’t want anyone taking my name - borderlinetears. I posted one or two things over there (I can’t remember exactly how many but it wasn’t a lot). Shortly after I deleted them. I tried that site but I did not like it. My account is still there but I rarely log in. That’s the honest reason I "joined"...because I am selfish and didn’t want anyone taking my name. lol I never "moved" over there though. Elite Skills is, and always will be, my writing home. <3 --blt

Message	I guess you’d have to ask why writers like BLT and Vancrown moved over there... perhaps there wasn’t enough here to keep them interested? I guess I’m at both sites just as much... made a few friends, like reading the work there. But my heart’s loyal to here.
