Now on to my problem. There is a section in your page area where you can see all the comments that you have made so far on other ppl’s work. Recently in place of my comments was a little paragraph about how to right better critiques, and basic translation of this was you need to be more critical of others work.
So basically speaking I lost the right to look at my critiques because someone who runs the site felt like they didn’t like what I had to say about other peoples work. Since I went ahead and started to be alot more critical and abrasive about others work and PRESTO now I can see my critiques again.
Well I think that is crappy and blatant micromanagement. It is my goal to try and find something positive to say about everyones work that I read. And you know what I don’t find it too hard at all, theres always something I like about everyones work. These people put alot of thought into their work and I think you need to recognize that, aknowledge it before you start ranting about goddamn punctuation.
Now while I see the point of thinking I’m too easy on the writers, I don’t think it’s fair at all to take away things from me until I start to comply witrh what you think is a proper critique! I’m sorry bro but thats kinda like saying hey write what you think about this poem, just don’t write anything I don’t think is critical enough because I’ll punish you for it. So if you happen to catch me being over critical of your work or nitpicky just remember, my hand has been pushed in that direction.
There is too much negativity in the world today, without you puinishing me for being too positive.
P.S. Oh and if you stop seeing me on this site you’ll know why, consider me officially permanently censored. In other words, they will have kicked me.:(

There was an error in which anyone with a space in their name couldn’t see their critiques. Actually there were errors everywhere. The next page button wasn’t working, the submit journal/submission wouldn’t work if you were away too long etc etc. The text has always been there whether you had critiques there or not. The feature is just a feature. Any feature can be taken away or limited. The site is free. We didn’t even have the recent critiques feature until much later. No one is stalking you. I have no interest in your comments as long as you don’t spam one liners or the same comment over and over. Improving your comments helps yourself and the author. It’s just kind. |
