I write to make someone smile, cry, laugh or stop to think of days gone by, for truths and just plain thought provoking reading.
Not to clear my mind about my weary day. Not to vent because someone looked at me and hurt my feelings. No, writing is a passion, a powerful urgency to put words and ideals forth.
I do not write what might be found upon bathroom walls, and passed along in study halls.
Yes, it is my desire and within reach to hold my work for others to cherish, it is also my desire that others sought that as well.
IS THAT SO WRONG? |

in my case, writing helps me cope and deal w/ my illness and stress by having a creative outlet. when i’m writing something, everything else goes away.
but everyone, i’m sure, has different reasons why they write. and there’s no right/wrong about any of them. |
