Message  Dickinson was my first poet. I fell in love with her collection when I was five. e. e. cummings came later- he is my guide. Saul Williams will be a classic- he is my inspiration.

Message  I personally don’t really like dickinson, i think her stuff is really kind of...sucky? Just my opinion though. I like Thedore Roethke. He’s really dark. If you’re into that, check out the poem Epidermal Macabre.

Message  I can’t really go in depth with the literature because everyone here is just saying that they are fans and the topic author is probably watching MTV right now.

Message  e.e. cummings is pretty good too... I do love Edgar Allan Poe and his short stories... like "The Cask of Amotallido" (however you spell it) and "Tell Tell Heart"

Message  I agree, Emily is my favorite poet of all times...I have a book of all her poems...my favorite would have to be "Because I could not stop for death"...she’s so deep, intense, dark...sad life though, don’t you think...
Yeah Dickinson is #1,
then it is Edgar Allen Poe...whew, now that man is morbid.
