| User | Eggman | | Topic | Stories | | Message | Why does no one actually right short stories here?
They all seem to go to long, enduring Chapters of potential stories that will pan out... Is no one capable of actually telling one?
The few I’ve seen are nice...
but none are terriffic.
Someone, join me in my story telling revolution (=) perhaps not a revolution... yet). |

Sent them to various Women’s magazines that are mean’t to take unsolicited stuff and they seem to pinch the ideas and send them back again!!

Ex story: Character wants to get to car...
Shall I start him/her in house, in offfice, in park, in store, etc.
Then it becomes a matter of letting the story evolve... Let everything fall into place naturally, as if it were really happening (What WOULD the character do next?).
That’s one easy way to get a story down... it becomes a matter of puuting your starting place close enough to your ending.
Remember, short stories are meant to be SHORT, don’t lag them down with pointless detail... |
