I don’t know much about the site, I joined because I love writing, and would be grateful if someone gave an introductory summary to the site elements? What’s roleplaying for eg? By the way, I’m from India but born, brought up and reside in the U.A.E. if you know where that is. Into first year of college but currently enjoying vacations. ’Enjoying’ means slogging at work-the reason why I don’t often come online-but I hope to have a great time in being a part of this great community where I can make friends as well as improve my abysmal writing talents! Mind you, seeing the awesome talent among this site’s members, I can hardly hope to compare with their amazingly good pieces of work. I’m not much of a poetry writer, mainly into short stories. Could someone please elaborate on what the contests are about? And journals?

Basically, I thought the site was a place for writers of all kinds to share their work and get feedback to help them hone their skills. Once people tell you what they loved and hated the most about your writing, you can begin to see what mistakes you’re making and brush up on whatever skills you find you lack or concentrate instead on your strengths as a writer.
