Can I offer you a penny for your thoughts? As a matter of about three? One penny for you, one penny for me, and one penny for our minds engaged sexually. Getting intimately closer as we approach the, climactic altitude of nude, mental, sensational...conversation!

Because I'm trying to get to know everything about you from the neck...UP! So these are not your typical, sexual, poetical, prose. I'm trying to close the door on that all too familiar, freaky, foreplay game, with which most guys have chose to approach you. While they're trying to get deeply imbedded in the fine fibers of your bed sheets, I'm trying to find and define the fibers with which your mind speaks.

I want to engage putting a two karat solitaire diamond on your mind and marrying your every thought! I want to lick every inch of every crevasse, so I can get an oral fix from each orifice, and taste your passionate imagination.

I'd rather be naked and exposed, holding you, as we're lying and you're crying, while confiding and describing, the tough times you had in life, and how you don't know if you can keep a relationship long enough to be somebody's wife!

I wanna feel the heartbeat of all your inner rhythms, as they lead me towards your warm, wet, waterfalls, of feminine thoughts, and I'll swim within em'. From backstrokes, to breaststrokes, I'm penetrating every entrance to your mind. Taking my time to find out everything about you.

Did I ever tell you about how you, fell asleep in my presence, and your mere essence, kept me up for hours as I cowered with this feeling of a sexually unadulterated mental connection? And as you laid by my side, I pushed my blinds aside, and took the time in the moonlight of that night, to count 72 eyelashes on the upper eyelid of your right eye.

So now I'm standing here...ready to trade in all the sexual acts that we've performed, for the chance to reform the very foundation, and basis, of this relationship. So I reiterate my opening statement...and I offer you, another penny...for your thoughts.

    What is Writer's Block?
    Is that some kind
    of Poetry STD?
    Is that what you get
    when you don't clean up
    after writes
and share pens with your best mate?

    Is it God
    trying to tell you something,
drowning out every aspect of your life
as you struggle to figure out
    whatever it is
    without being aware of it?

What is the reason for breathing? Isn't the only purpose of breathing dying? Or aren't we dying only to make room for more breaths?

well, i am going to post two new pieces, Cassandra and This Girl's a stranger.

i like sometimes taking poetry back to its most base elements, and starting anew. i have found that it keeps the mind fresh, and open to new experiences.

going to open mic so frequently can cloud and pollute such a beautiful thing, so its always great to refresh your mind every once in a while.

while i am on the subject, i have a question...why is it that at every open mic you must seemingly tailor your work to fit the crowd?

for example, i love some of the pieces i have written here over the past 3-4 years because these pieces reflect my native style, the same style used since the age of 4.

i can read these at one venue, the Coffee Scene here in fayetteville, NC and receieve quite the reaction from the crowd.

but then i go to a more soulful crowd as that of Big Shots, which has more of an urbanesque feel to it and recieve little to no response, almost as though the crowd and listeners are confused by my vocabulary, and have some half-assed act follow me, and because he freestyles about "I'm So Hood" sentiment, he gets a standing ovation.

the Hood (so to speak) is nothing to glamorize, let alone center all of my poetry around. i even questioned this artist on the definition of nystagmus (which is one of my favorite words mind you), and he couldnt even tell ME the definition. and thats not poetry.

i feel as though you have to be well versed yes in your writing to be versatile and prepared for each of these venues and crowds and to speak to the widest multitude of persons and mindsets possible, but...i dont know. maybe someone who has experienced the same can help me out a little.

    good day

Be kind, take a few minutes to review the hard work of others <3
It means a lot to them, as it does to you.
