things are going famously here in Addis Abeba, Ethiopia. i am teaching children in an after school thingee and they are so adorable! i want to take them all home with me haha.
the challenge is finding a way of accomodating the huge range in english skills... 6yr olds know a little less than 13 yr olds lol.
i also started helping at a soup kitchen kind of thing where we serve 700 homeless men lunch. it is heartbreaking and i cried the first night every time i thought about the magnitude of the situation
spending time with my friends has been awesome. i know that leaving in a months time is going to suck and i will be an absolute mess by the time i get back to New Zealand but i guess thats how it goes..

so yup... for those of you who havent heard... i am off to ethiopia to build houses with habitat for humanity and after my month of building i will be remaining in ethiopia to spend some time with the people i have spent the last 3 years missing and the culture/nation that has stolen my everything
im not sure how frequently i'll be online and i'll do my best to update my journal on here when i am able but if you got an email address and wanna be kept in whatever loop i find PM it to me

saturday to-do list:

sleep in til 10am
spend an hour at the gym
purchase a backpack
purchase a ukelele
learn to play 'somewhere over the rainbow' on said ukelele
work 7pm-1am
do laundry
wash dishes
so the attempt backfired and i cannot make it work.
guess you dont get to hear me sing afterall lol!
i did managed to save it to my computer though so maybe i try make it accessible somehow one day.
